Hi Ndawe Jennifer Oluchukwu, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was to create products that are effective and a delight to use either by me or the consumer. St’Claire Beauty was birth out of necessity due to my own personal struggle with hair loss due to baldness.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started my business in 2020 during the lockdown. It was out of necessity because I wore a lot of wigs and wasn’t taking care of my hair and didn’t notice I was balding on time until it was quite late. I had baldness in the centre of my scalp. I remember I got depressed about it, I started looking for treatment especially organic/herbal treatment for baldness. I started taking vitamins that could help but it wasn’t working fast enough for me. So I studied and researched herbs and oils that would help with the regrowth of the balded spot on my hair.

I made my first product and used it on my hair. The result was amazing! I noticed the baldness was filling back up. I gave a few of my friends and coworkers to try it out and the result was amazing as well. It was their testimony that made me more convinced that my oil works.

Afterward, encouragement began pouring in for me to start it as a business. I remember when I was growing up in Nigeria, my dad would always tell me to think about starting a business. Initially, I never wanted a business, but when I saw my close friends having their own businesses, I was motivated to start mine.

It wasnt an easy journey, i had to go through the process of unlearning and re-learning. I learned during my journey that i shouldnt give up because something seems hard, and my faith in God Almighty was very important in my journey to get to where i needed to be, also trust the process. The lesson I have learnt so far is don’t give up, go at your destined pace, learn as much as possible, be open to criticism, be willing to improve and be better every day. pray more and let God do the rest.

I want the world to know about me and my brand is the I came, saw, and conquered, didn’t give up because people didn’t believe in me, I believed in myself, and keep going. my brand is here to stay for a long time and I am building generational wealth for me and the people around me. we are willing together.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would say, I watch a lot of skincare, hair care, and marketing videos to help increase my knowledge to boost my business and career.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the growth of St’Claire Beauty either through advice or through admonition,because without thos4 people i wont be here today. Through their constant support in my business or in my life, i wont have found the determination i needed to start my business and see it through, and for that i am thankful.
