Meet Nathaniel Buchanan | Actor/filmmaker and business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nathaniel Buchanan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nathaniel, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking a risk has always been my number 1 thing because you can’t progress in life without it. moving to atlanta was the biggest rick that I’ve ever taken. moving everything from Boston to down here was huge. im proud of myself for doing it because most people are scared to leave their hometown. especially for a dream.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a actor/filmmaker and I have my own clothing line. for the acting and filmmaking side im a actor, director and a writer. I feel like someone who acts should also be able to create their own films because it can put you in different rooms that you possibly wouldn’t be in if you just stuck to doing 1 thing. as far as my clothing line. the company is called More Hustle More Money. I created it in college when I was trying to make designer clothing for the big boys. come to find out people smaller then ,e like wearing my clothes as well. it’s really a blessing.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
well it just depends because if they want to hit the club we’d go to the bulkhead strip. I remember when I first moved out here I was going out there every weekend it was always exciting. we’d have to catch a braves game as well. not only do you go to the stadium to see the game, you can also eat, party and enjoy sports all in one are. for outdoors id go over to the lake in kennessaw. role us up a couple of joints and be near the water probably even grab a kayak as well. for foods there’s a number of Brazilian and Mexican restaurants to choose from. I’m big on taste so if I find a place that I like I stick to it. so I’d take them to one of the mom and po shops around the city in either marietta or near buckhead to eat
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
the black actors that I watched growing up. seeing those guys on the big screen that even looked like me. some darkish, some bigger than the typical actor. that’s what really lead me to wanting to go after this with everything that I have
