We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Sykes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think it’s important to take risks sometimes. We often hold back on big life decisions and career changes due to fear of failure, but fear is a road block that we must pass in order to continue towards success.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is Natalie Sykes and I was born and raised in Atlanta Ga. I am an up and coming Plus Model looking to inspire women to love ALL of their curves. I love all things fashion and style. My modeling journey began in 2016 while living in Charlotte, NC after attending an audition for a local modeling group. After being selected as a member I was afforded the opportunity to network with photographers and boutiques. Before you know it I was at my first photo shoot with a local boutique…..and the rest is history. Over the past 5 years I have been able to grace the runway at Crusade of Curves in Raleigh,NC , District if Curves in Washington D.C. and even the TCF Expo here in Atlanta. I’ve collaborated with multiple boutiques, clothing companies and photographers and have even had my photographs printed in a magazine. I’m so blessed to have had these opportunities to inspire plus size women and girls and encourage them to love themselves. I hope to be able to remain an inspiration to those young girls who struggle with self esteem and to make sure they know that they are beautiful too.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was to visit me here in Atlanta I would make sure our week was filled with fun , good and laughs! We would definitely visits The Garden Room for drinks. I would love to go to Two Urban Licks for dinner and then bowling at The Painted Pin. We would do a fun picnic day at Piedmont Park and then Sunday Brunch at Toast on Lenox. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shout out to my amazing and supportive family!! They are my motivation to keep pushing forward towards success everyday!
