We had the good fortune of connecting with Naomi Moka and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Naomi, what inspires you?
Partnership. First, God’s willingness to partner with me to create a beautiful life when I’m broken or blessed.

Second, the faith of people I encounter daily, from my family and friends to future strategic partners.

Finally, I’m inspired by love. God is love – his Son proved that, and now I get to partner with Him to prove that to others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a former disappointed, depressed, and disconnected prodigal damsel in distress living out my freedom as a Connection Strategist for women discouraged in their relationships with God, themselves, or others.

After overcoming two decades of self-criticism and not feeling “good enough”; enduring church hurt from partiality, sexism, racism, and two ex-communications; surviving two unhealthy marriages spanning 12 years; navigating becoming a two-time divorcée before age 35 (and a new role as a mother who happens to be single); prioritizing three years of intentional healing, and spending the last five years applying what I’ve learned, I now help these women connect to biblical Truth so they too can find peace, love well, and do life brave.

This doesn’t come easy- this comes with many tears; but, through prayer, perseverance, persistence, and being present it’s been my joy teaching discouraged women how to lean on the Lord and champion every day with courage while cultivating community with like-minded women who are determined to reach their unique destiny.

My story is only one of many that will influence this work/brand to make a lasting impact on women for generations to come.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many are part of my steadfastness today. I want to honor:

My daughters, my family of origin, my Aunt Rita, my mentor Ms. Vernita, my kindred best friends (Missy, Johanna and Siana), my future (EA), my co-laborers (Paul and Sophia), my dear sisters (Akeia, BSC, Dulla, Kristy, LaTricia, Daphne, Mihia, S’am, Tina, and from my first well in ATL), my remnant faith family (past, present, and those who abide), everyone who has shown me kindness, and …

I acknowledge those God allowed in my path to help me grow in forgiveness.
