We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Lumpkin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I believe that nobody should ever do something that doesn’t bring them joy. I try to pursue joy and happiness every single day, and when thinking of potential career choices, it seemed like a no-brainer to go the artistic route, as I have always had a knack for creativity. The feeling that I get when I finally see my visions come to life in a piece of artwork is unmatched! I love being able to express myself through the work that I do. The most gratifying aspect of my job is seeing people take home my creations and carry a piece of me with them.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For most of my professional career, I was a Premium Accounting Analyst for a local life insurance company. Although the pay and benefits were great, I was absolutely miserable sitting in a cubicle for forty hours a week! That was when I realized that I should put my own happiness before anything else and actively pursue a life of happiness and passion. My brand is all about freedom and living in the present moment!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first place I would take my friend would be Vickery Creek Falls! It’s a little hidden treasure located in Roswell that not many people know about. I love immersing myself in nature, so this trail would be the first place that I’d want to show my friend! Another place that I would definitely take someone is The Garden Room, a restaurant in Atlanta with a gorgeous setup and delicious food and drinks! Next, I would want to hang out at the Woodstock Amphitheater in downtown Woodstock. Downtown Woodstock is one of my favorite places to hang out because it is never too crowded and there are plenty of cute little shops and restaurants to visit! The Amphitheater is also a nice place to sit down, relax, and people watch!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my parents who always encouraged me to do what it takes to reach my fullest potential. In fact, my entire family has always been supportive of my goals and aspirations!
