We had the good fortune of connecting with Myron McWhite & Rashad T, Dudley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myron McWhite &, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting our business was wanting to create a brand that would set us apart from other urban menswear brands, hence the name REÏR (Rare) Clothing Co. It’s rare that you come across brands that are trendy, fashionable and most importantly affordable. To us, starting REÏR meant that we were able to make clothing for us, by us. When we first envisioned starting a business, we had no experience, but we were eggar to display our creativity for menswear. We also knew that timing was everything, and what better time to take a risk in starting a business than during a global pandemic. We did a lot of researching other Black Owned and small businesses and learned quite a bunch from their failures. We both knew that we had a passion for fashion and creativity, and thus REÏR Clothing Co. was born.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
On January 6, 2021 we released Reir Clothing Co. to the world. In our first year we were able to make $1k in the first day of selling, establish as an LLC, be featured in VoyageATL magazine and AAMU spring fashion show, participate in multiple pop-up shops, and donate our October sales to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and lastly partnered with On The Yard to donate two HBCU Swag Bags to two freshmen of our HBCUs, AAMU and Morehouse College. We did all of this in such a short amount of time and in two different cities: Atlanta & Huntsville. Since then, we’ve been able to move our entire business to Memphis, TN. Something that sets Reir Clothing Co apart is that our designs and the brand make up changes frequently and a reason of that is because we like to stay on top of all the latest trends and provide our customers with updated designs. We would like our customers to know that we are working every day to provide them with the best quality brands, the fastest shipping time and the upmost customer service.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, we’d like to thank all of our supporters and customers, if not for them, we wouldn’t be such a successful business. Since day one of starting Reïr Clothing Co., we’ve had a great number of supporters behind us. From sharing our posts to spreading the word of our business through multiple platforms, we thank them! Also, we would like to thank all of the content creators on Tik Tok and YouTube for providing small business gems to further cultivate our knowledge on running a business.
