We had the good fortune of connecting with Myles Mitchom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myles, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
A painful experience of purchasing my first vehicle after graduating college was the starting point. I paid more than I should have and as a result I owed more on the car than it was worth. For years I was stuck with this vehicle and felt financially handicapped to pursue other opportunities because of the enormous monthly payments.

What should our readers know about your business?
KAR Atlanta is a state-licensed independent pre-owned vehicle dealership. What makes KAR Atlanta different from other dealerships is our approach. We believe if we focus more on our #KARclient and their car-buying needs versus buying random vehicles to resell to the public the people who are referred to us will have a better buying experience. Relationships are paramount to us and we work diligently to break down the traditional walls of the us versus them mentality to create a transparent, win-win buying experience. This has served us well over the years. As a result, we receive many inquiries each day from people who were referred to us by previous #KARclient.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is a dynamic city that has so much to offer visitors, regardless of they enjoy. If my friends are foodies I’d take them to restaurants like Busy Bee Cafe, Cameals (in Loganville) and LowCountry Steak. If they like art I’ll take them ADAMA ATL, ZuCot Gallery or the High Museum of Art. And State Farm Arena is a nice venue that always gives great concert experiences. Finally, my high school friend, J Carter’s ONE MUSICFEST and The Celebration Bowl football games are good experiences in the fall.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The painful experience shared in the first response was/is my main motivator.
