We had the good fortune of connecting with Myles Faulkner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myles, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was becoming independent. When I say independent, meaning being able to do what I liked to do & enjoy doing what I do. I felt that I was always better off working for myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is how hands on I am with my craft. When people ask who comes up with the designs, ideas, photo shoots etc. I’m proud to say that it’s me who’s behind all of it. I know that I’m a small upcoming brand & I don’t have a full major team yet but I know in the future I will, so learning the fundamentals on how everything works is important until then. Lessons are teachings, that’s how I look at it. I’ve learned plenty since I’ve began the journey, the most important one is don’t give up. Another one is don’t rely on anyone. I want the world to view my brand as something cool that they want to be apart of. I want them to understand that this brand comes from quality & structure.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
J Alexander’s located in dunwoody is one of my favorite restaurants. They’re known for their American style wood fire cuisine food. The Belt Line is one of my favorite hangout areas, they have lots to do over there & it’s always a vibe. Shopping with me would be lots of consignment stores/sneaker boutiques. I have a love for cozy threads & streetwear fashion. A fun night out with me would be bar hoping in buckhead with friends & just having a good time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my family & friends for the major support they always give me behind my business. They’ve played a major role in my success & are one of the main reasons I am where I am today. So shout out to them & thank you.
