Hi Myia, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The ugly truth on why women choose to wear wigs on their hair. Many women view hair as a part of their identity. As a result, constantly changing our hair which can be exhausting and emotionally draining especially for those who have insecurities about their hair. Think about hair loss, receding hairlines, not having the “perfect” texture, length, fullness and so on. Wigs give a easy solution to fix those problems.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would have to say planning and responding to inquiries.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would probably go hiking, gun range, hit up some outlets, day drink or get coffee and we have to end it with the gentlemen’s club.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents have 3 girls and all of us have a head full of hair. Shoutout to our genes. As a result, they were ready to pass the responsibility on to us to do our own hair when we got to an appropriate age. I started doing my own hair and that eventually lead me to braiding my god sisters hair for money. Shoutout to my God Mom for respecting my talent and hustle at a young age.
