We had the good fortune of connecting with Mya Lynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mya, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
I feel outsiders don’t understand how time consuming and how much work goes into being an entrepreneur in general , its definitely worth it though i wouldn’t trade it in for the world I love what I do , I love to make my customers feel good to see the look on their face when they like their outfit.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Issalynn fashion we are a brand that wants our customers to feel good to boost their self esteem. We want everyone who shops with us to feel like the Queens they are to let their inner diva shine. We are a black owned brand we host pop up shops & networking events. We enjoy giving back to the community and helping other entrepreneurs build and grow their own empire. It’s not easy whatsoever but you must be consistent in order to have a successful business. It’s time consuming especially being a mom , entrepreneur, author, and real estate agent. It’s well worth it to work for yourself, travel and create your own schedule. Live life on your own terms. I’ve had many obstacles along the way and took so many risk to get to where I am. Putting my last dime into my business at times but where I am right now in this industry I would say it was worth every risk and sleepless nights. I’m passionate about everything I do , I love what I do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would most definitely hit orions roof on the ocean front an Asian fusion restaurant in a modern rooftop setting for food and drinks. We would also go to the sweet spot a chic all pink milkshake bar on Atlantic Ave. i love amusement parks so we would also have to visit Busch gardens.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family especially my son kiyan I wouldn’t be where I am without them & my entire Issalynn team that help my business run smoothly.
