We had the good fortune of connecting with Muzi Mnisi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Muzi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and being a creative at heart it seemed like the perfect match. You know the old saying if you do what you love you’ll never work. Honestly I couldn’t agree with that more because I love what I do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My music and organization has been built on a foundation of love. A principle that recognizes the global community of tribes that share values and differences that cultivate our shared realities. It’s about inclusion and an ethos of unity. I’ve heard it called Ubuntu. Without you I’m not and to recognize GOD in all beings. I’m proud of the SAMA 27 nomination and placements on major international stations and playlists. I’m proud of writing for Keith Sweat and working with my producer Ezell White III on everything since like 2019. It’s been a fun journey along the way and I’m so optimistic about what GOD has in store for us next. The main thing I’ve learned is to trust the process and never give up on yourself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Gotta hit some games! I love sports and there’s plenty to see in the city from Atlanta United to the Falcons at the Benz and Hawks at the arena. I love food too so I’d say any popular restaurant could give good vibes in the city. Then there are plenty night clubs for dancing or throwing hunnads. Lol!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without God who would I be so big shout to the biggest! Then definitely my family and long time friends if you have my number you already know. But more specifically for the path of the sound I say thank you: Aisha Albritton, Xclusiv, Paul Sheehy, Ezell White and Kochease.
