We had the good fortune of connecting with Ms Love Indyy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ms, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Honestly, the creative path chose me. Everything came naturally for me. Growing up I was always this creative child who dreamed soooo big. Nothing was off limits for me, I always knew I could do anything I put my mind to. I was journaling and writing my goals and plans down at an early age like It was like I always knew this was what I was suppose to be doing. It’s a feeling you have and any time I did anything outside of it I wasn’t happy. It always called me back! God is very strategic in everything he does nothing is by mistake. God put the dream and vision inside of me at a young age for a reason. Many are called few are chosen!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am ART, I am POWERFUL, I am PURPOSEFUL, I am LOVE, I am LIGHT, I am WOMAN and every piece of me is ART! When I was formed in the womb I was set apart. God specifically set me apart for a reason. I’m already blessed and divinely favored! There isn’t anyone I wanna be like BUT me. I can show up authentically as ME on and off the internet and my presence is FELT! I don’t move like nobody and nobody moves like me. I’m one of one! I’m most proud of being the black girl from the hood with all the odds against her, who was counted out, wrote off, expelled almost every school year, to almost falling victim to the criminal system, coming from a broken home, battling depression some days from the brokenness, the girl who pain was laughs and jokes and tea that became a TESTIMONY for me. God spun the block and turned the pieces into a masterpiece and through it all I chose to take the risk to still go for my dreams no matter what I faced. Nothing about where I am today was easy it was days where I wanted to throw this all away then I remembered my WHY! I AM the generational curse breaker no more poverty, no more debt days etc it STOPS with me! I am going to take care of my family and beat all the odds! I AM a warrior and I’m proud to say it! I got to where I am today by being consistent, never giving up, not listening to outsiders who God never gave the vision to, so those waiting on my downfall you can go get that refund! Understanding my vision is mine not no one else’s and by prayer! I pray a lot. I knew that if God gave me the vision he would fulfill it because he’s not a liar. It’s simple it’s GOD like I can’t take the credit. I pray about everything you cannot make it in this world without prayer or without God. You have to include prayer in everything! The lessons I’ve learned along the way is really learning to protect my peace at all costs having peace of mind is the bag secure that and using my wisdom and discernment and like I said praying about everything like I don’t make no moves without including God first because he HAS to order your steps or it’s not going to work period! I just want the world to know that I am living proof that no matter what you are going through or where you come from God can always turn it around for you! Your dreams are always possible BUT you have to believe it’s possible! You can’t let anyone stand in the way of that. One thing I’ve never did is let an opinion I can’t deposit deter me from my dreams! Block out negativity and stop responding to negativity the more you feed it the bigger it’ll grow. Starve your bad habits and pour into yourself!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am just blessed to say s/o to my village the ones who are always there for me no matter what! The ones who support I never have to ask for because they’re always giving it freely and rocking with me no matter what! My village sees me, they hear me, they love me, they respect me, they value me. They constantly push me and pour into me and same for my supporters those supporters who had my back since day 1 and even the ones who joined along the way I have a special kind of love for them! Waking up daily and knowing I inspired someone or motivated someone warms my heart and shows me it’s BIGGER than just me! I am PURPOSEFUL! S/o to the strong black powerful women who look like me who walked through the doors and left the doors open so that other powerful young women like myself can come through the door as well! Mrs Mani Millss, Ms. Crystal Hayslett, Mrs. Kj Smith-Black, Mrs. Kerry Washington, Ms Taraji P. Henson, Ms Viola Davis who inspires me to dream even BIGGER! Every time they show up in those spaces it shows me I can do it too because I saw other powerful women show up. When they win? I WIN!
