Meet Ms. Bunny

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Bunny and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ms. Bunny, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Be in control of your own s**t and your creations.”-Pop smoke said this

and why it stuck with me because being in control you have full ownership nobody can’t tell you shit. Nobody can’t f*ck up what your building. Nobody can’t come in between.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started doing music when I was about 12 years old I’ve been through a lot of obstacles in my journey in the music shit, from people giving up on me, lying to me, using me, being let down. For the longest I wanted to give up but god wouldn’t let me I just kept picking up the pen. The hardest thing is believing in people when they say they’re going to do something for you and being let down. My first time performing on stage I was 16 I performed at Tods place in New Haven CT with my team at the time Sky’s Da Limit. I met Slim Gooddy through my mother she was his mother nurse and one day mother told him I rap and I was fire than after that it was history. Over the years I’ve learned and I’ve grew. Moving forward to now my biggest accomplishment was having a billboard in Time Square of my single Red Room but not only in Time Square but Atlanta the same week. I did something that artist in my city would k*** for. And I was the first to do it. I’ve toured all over the world. I’ve done big shows from opening up for Riff Raff, I performed along side Diverse Character opening up for Aboogie w/the hoodie. My biggest show I did was with Pop Smoke back Nov in 2019 this was right before Pop Smoke passed away. I was the only female rapper on the bill and I killed it. Pop wanted to meet me. My manager linked with pop manager to set a feature up for us. Than I got the news I was hurt Pop was who I looked up to when it came to Drill Music. What sets me apart from other female artist is my creativity I’m versatile I don’t stay in one box. I make all genre of music plus I really can rap I’m spitting. I want the world to know that I’m coming and I’m here to stay

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would have to take them outside of Trenton there’s nothing in Trenton I’ve traveled the world enough to know that doing things outside your city is where you have the most fun. So I like to go to Philly which is like 30 mins from the town they got dope restaurants, a lot of fun things to do. Or the city because I mean you can’t go wrong with spending the day in New York.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I want to thank the man up above because without him I would be nothing, I wouldn’t even have this talent to share with the world. I would like to thank my mother for always being my support system. I gotta thank my manager Chris Taylor we’ve been through a lot together and he’s never given up on me. We’ve accomplished a lot together only many people dream of. Selective few people who have supported me through my journey Diverse Character, Black Mike, my cousin TayTay she’s been to at least two videos shoots that I’ve shoot and also been to shows. My sister Kasha she shares my music, and my brother Jeff Got Em and my brother 40/ team member my cousin Dev/ team member. These are the people who support me none stop there’s no catch no money involved no motive. For the longest I’ve been looking for support in my town and I realized I was looking in the wrong place. But I know I have constant support from them.
