Meet Morgan Wilson | Licensed Esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Morgan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew from the moment I entered the corporate world that I wanted to start my own business. I just felt like a worker bee and I didn’t like it. I realized I was playing a part in helping someone else live out their dream and it didn’t sit right with me. I wanted to create and build my own legacy that can eventually turn into generational wealth.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Licensed Esthetician in the Atlanta area. I specialize in Natural Corrective Skincare & Treatments. What sets me apart is my passion for wanting to see people comfortable and confident in their own skin with a holistic approach. I am a big fresh face beauty advocate and I just want people to confidently walk around unapologetically themselves if they want.
I am most proud of my knowledge in this field. If you know me then you know I am always taking some type of class or course to better myself. I truly believe that knowledge is power and taking the time to invest in yourself and in your craft should always make you proud.
I got to where I am professionally by being resilient. Anything you throw at me I will overcome because I truly believe this is my purpose. And when you walk in your purpose nothing can stop you. One thing about me, I will figure it out. Nothing is ever easy, if it was it wouldn’t be worth it.
Some lessons I learned on the way were to ask for help, you can’t do everything yourself. I am honestly still working on this. Another big one is to not be too hard on yourself. You are human, you aren’t perfect and humans make mistakes. It’s how you bounce back from those mistakes that makes all the difference.
Overall, I just want the world to know that the mission of MorLush. is to provide high-quality, naturally derived & organic based skincare solutions for everyone, especially people of color. I pride myself on being results-driven so you can feel comfortable & confident in your own skin.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am such a simpleton. The best things in life to me are free and very nostalgic. Definitely would have to be outdoors. So I most likely would take them downtown to Ponce City Market. It’s like a one stop shop for food & fun. Definitely would have to hit up the BeltLine too so they could get some scenery. One thing I love about Ponce is that it’s always something going on. Always lively and full of people.
Next, we would definitely have to check out the Aquarium and the High Museum of Art, I love how on certain days they have certain events going on.
Lastly, I would take them to my place of business(=
so they can see where all the magic happens.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my Shoutout to Nipsey Hussle. He’s the reason I caught the entrepreneurship bug in the first place. I definitely view him as the Tupac of my generation. His debut album Victory Lap just spoke life into me and made me want to go out and create a legacy of my own.
I also want to shoutout my supporters. From family to friends, to customers, to clients, with out them none of this would be possible. And in those times when I can’t even root for myself, I know I have other people rooting for me and that keeps me going.
