We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Findlay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
After our team collectively have spent many years in the fitness industry, working for other people, gyms, studios and other organizations, we saw a need that was only partially being fulfilled. Fitness, we felt wasn’t to be pigeonholed to simply virtual strength or HIIT classes, but needed emphasis on the rehab and recovery side of the industry, the education behind movement and the ‘why’ we do what we do, which was heightened during the lockdown phase of our current pandemic, and particularly within the online sphere. Mindfulness and meditation is something that everyone can participate in, and obviously reap the rewards through a better understanding of self worth and self love. We developed a hybrid class that catered to all three elements of the mind, spirit, and body. In a time where people are stuck at home, depression is at an all time high, not to mention the negative outcomes of such a mindset, we felt there was a need for sharing what we do and make it an attractive package for people to really enjoy participating in. What started virtually has now moved outdoors, which again is catering to the people who have still not returned to their local gym, and are seeking an alternate way to stay fit and healthy.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are still in our infancy as a company, but have some grand aspirations on where it can go and the amount of people we can help. As mentioned previously, we saw a lot of generalized fitness coaching, and programming, but very few options that incorporated rehab, recovery, stretching, mindfulness and meditation. We have really positive feedback from our hybrid class where we offer not only physical fitness, but the spiritual and mental side of health and wellness. Our head of operations, Jess, has even developed pre and post natal fitness education for all those new moms out there. Peachy Cheeks Fitness has a weekly segment “Workout Wednesday’s with Morgan” on FOX News ‘Good Day Atlanta’ that airs every Wednesday, which has been helping people find alternative ways to stay active at home. We love to collaborate and not compete. We feel that there’s a bit too much competition and not enough collaboration. We have had some amazing networks with Pepper Boxing, MADabolic, RowHouse Sandy Springs, Nuber-T, The FIT ATL, and many more. We would love for people to reach out to us to talk about how we can all work together and help people in need during this unprecedented societal climate. Lastly with the team we have, and the background/experience we all offer, we have been approached by studios at a consultancy level to improve the overall operations of their organization. From Instructor training, social media, back end operations, and staff guidance, Peachy Cheeks will soon have another foundation to build upon.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Depending on the season, it’s a must to check out a game at the incredible Mercedez Benz Stadium. Atlanta has an amazing fanbase for all our professional sports, in particular Atlanta United FC. There are beautiful hikes up towards Chattanooga, and mid summer it’d be rude not to ‘shoot the hooch’ where you can grab some drinks and float for a few hours through some beautiful scenery. Zocolos in Midtown have amazing Frozen Margs, not to mention an incredible Mexican menu. If you’re feeling like having some fun and burning some calories, Pepper Boxing at the battery will have you sweating, and hooked from your first class. The Ivy on Roswell is a bar set in an old mansion, and a perfect place to watch the game and have a few drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We have an absolutely amazing team who bring a vast background of talent and experience, that between us can really cater to all demographics of people. Breeona Chamberlain Jessica Taroff Michelle Adams All three are boss babe superstars.
