Hi Monique, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Only a true failure would give up on the first loss. . Everyday we wake up we face Trials and tribulations it’s the unenviable We simply can’t deny it. Knowing that I have a purpose on this planet. Knowing that there are people that believe in me and my journey more than I believe it myself at times. With me giving up it’ll break their hearts as well.. I believe true answers come from reflections. I look into the mirror and ask myself “How to know whether to keep going or give up” My reflection responds “There is no giving up you must keep it going for it’s not only you that is being let down but an entire group of people that is eager to see you shine. So I shine

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Mo’Vegan is an experience in itself! I am a artist by nature. I mean will literally sew the shirt that you are wearing. Paint a beautiful picture. I’m a writer also. In my food I incorporate all my other skills you can see my art. You can see my thought process like she really took time to plate this together. You can read my plates like a book. Marvel at it like a piece of art and enjoy it like you’re on vacation in Hawaii. Not only is my food pleasing to the eye it’s 100% Vegan! No animals are harmed not used in any of my meals so it sets me aside from a lot of chefs. People always assumed Vegan food is rabbit food. Well you just having been blessed with a Mo’Vegan Healing

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I Love Liquid Cafe! The atmosphere is so amazing and the food is phenomenal. They also have great daiquiris. The owner is a sweet lady with a passion for helping others. I like the fact that the source is a good person. I also love Donnas Delicious Delights she has a red velvet cake to die for and her key lime cakes are amazing as well. They also offer hot meals for customers on the go. Cool vibes pizza is another great stop that you must take it’s the home of the one of a kind Oxtail Pizza. There is also a vegan pizza on the menu Atmosphere and food I definitely give them 5 stars Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This shout out is dedicated to the one and only Patricia Ann Devette Brunson. She is no longer with me but her spirits still reigns high in my life. As a little girl she was my best friend I would literally follow her foot to foot. She worked at the hospital in the lab a few years before she retired. She was a phenomenal cook. I mean Soul food, Mexican food, Cobblers, Cakes, pies etc. she was truly my hero and inspiration. I’ve never met to this date a human being more meek, sweet and humble than her. She didn’t have much neither did she want it. But she had family, her garden, wisdom, knowledge and a skill of culinary arts that little did she know should spark her one and only grand daughter “Momo” in her voice to follow in her footsteps
