We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Russell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monique, what’s your definition for success?
Success to me is not in materialistic possessions, because they soon fade away. Success for me, is waking up every day with the expectation of making someone else’s day impactful. Providing people with new insight, a kind gesture, Divine impartation or just a simple hello; lets me know I have fulfilled my purpose for the day. My favorite saying is,” I want to die empty”, knowing that I have exhausted everything God has placed on the inside of me with true authenticity is what success means to me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the CEO of Monique Empowers LLC. a company built on the foundation of putting God first in everything I do. I implement strategies and tools which cater to the necessity of the client.

As a Certified Life, Christian and Professional Coach, I provide my clients with the P.E.P required to Planning out their goals, I make them accountable for Executing their goals within a timely manner, most importantly I am their private cheerleader praying and pushing them while watching them Prosper.

I am excited about my business because I now know the dynamics of success! Struggling to understand how to run a successful business due to my focus being on how people did business and not on how Monique should be a consistent entrepreneur caused me wasted time. However, within that time there where lessons learned which established grounds to who I have become and yet growing into. Learning to be my authentic self and not being a carbon copy of another has been my momentous lessoned absorbed thus far. Honing in on my craft succors me to tune into the individual God has placed me on this earth to be for the tribe he has for me to oblige.

The path to becoming who you are ordained to be on earth is very difficult because some of us have to peel off the layers of who society have identified us to be. However, once we tap into or even catch a glimpse of that person, I encourage you to press toward the dominion that has been granted you unapologetically. Seeing people breakthrough the barriers of life does it for me.

I am dedicated to encouraging individuals who are courageously seeking their truth and authentic self. I create an atmosphere which includes soul-provoking, self-help plans with call to action that introduces self-awareness, hope and the opportunity to maintain a closer relationship with God. While yet working on their goals for their tailored plan.
Encouragement and showing empathy is my gift to the world and I pray that I will continue to be the beacon of light the world needs. I truly believe that I am that one girl that can change the world!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our first stop would be to sit in the presence of my all-time favorite Chinese performing arts production, “Shen Yun”, located in the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre or at the Woodruff Arts Center- Symphony Hall. Thereafter, we would head over to the Melting Pot in midtown Atlanta to have a delightful lunch. We would definitely recline at the InterContinetal Hotels and Resorts in Buckhead for a bit, with expectations of enjoy a fun evening at Skyline Park (The Roof at Ponce City Market).

There are so many interesting places to check out in Atlanta, Georgia. One of my favorites would be Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. The most popular places are the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, The Cheesecake Factory just to name a few. Would definitely suggest people the checkout Tyler Perry Studios, it is such a phenomenal historic location.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout all those who are in my tribe my mom, dad, daughter-Jasmine Davis, for loving me unconditionally, my Pastor-Bishop Marlyn Thomas for consistently praying for me, my mentor Marq Green for providing me with the tools to create generational wealth. T

Also, those of you who have pushed me forward in my purpose, even when I had no indication of what or who I was being shaped into, you know who you are. Please note your pour has not been wasted, I love you and I am truly grateful.

This may sound strange; however, lastly, I would like to thank my Destiny for waiting patiently on me! God you are the center of my joy and without you I am absolutely mere dust. It is because of you that I have become who you called me to be. Thank you, God for everything!
