Hi Monika, what is the most important factor behind your success?
…. Hi!! Thank you for having me. Well when it comes to any goal you choose to obtain I would definitely say Consistency is the most important factor. My brand ‘Love Monika Marie’ started off like anyone else’s dream with just an idea; and when things got rocky and I wasn’t too talented, or too motivated… knowing that I at least had to put in effort daily fueled my brand. After a while, I realized that I became Top Lash Artist in my area simply because of my Consistency. It made me realize and know that if I did it anyone can do it as long as they are consistent.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Wellll… my career is STILL in the making. There are so many things within the beauty industry that I have passion to pursue but Mainly, transformational work is what I enjoy doing. I love this industry because it makes woman AND men feel, look and perform their best and I believe Every service should add to your confidence always. I look forward to servicing people everyday who need a little self confidence boost. It lets me know that my job as an advanced cosmetician isn’t only important to me but to the community as well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ugh! Georgia is such a diverse place there are a million places that popped into my head when asked this question. Well, first things first, if you like Caribbean food, Caribbean Fiesta has the most amazing food from all over the Caribbean. From Jamaican to Cuban to Guyanese…. And then the drinks at the bar are the strongest in all of Gwinnett  so definitely check them out if you want to feel like you’re on the islands for lunch.  

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
… I have so many people and influences to thank for the success of my brand. Starting with my mom who basically sacrificed her young life to provide for me and teach me how to be a strong minded, hardworking, independent woman. Now that I am set she is out living her best life as a fashionista lol (I like to think I taught her that). But also, to my fiancé Sarah. She is a blessing in a body and a huge inspiration to me in all ways. Everyday she pushes me to excel beyond, and I could not have done it the same way without her. Truly Everyone and everything in my life has inspired me in different ways. 2 huge beginner tools that I used to set my mindset to be prepared for the life of an entrepreneur: “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne & “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. They taught me the huge law of attraction, and manifestation which plays a big role in my everyday life.
