Hi Monica, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting KAM Transit LLC was rooted in my corporate background in marketing, customer service, and public affairs, which taught me the value of delivering exceptional client experiences. When I relocated to Atlanta, I was struck by the city’s position as a growing business hub, home to 16 Fortune 500 company headquarters and 31 Fortune 1000 companies. Recognizing the demand for high-quality executive transportation services in a city with such a robust corporate presence, I saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market by offering luxury transportation solutions tailored to professionals. My vision was to create a brand that provides seamless, sophisticated service while elevating the standard for customer care in Metro Atlanta.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has been a journey of learning, growth, and reinvention. I began in corporate America, where I honed my skills in marketing, customer service, and public affairs. These roles taught me the importance of understanding customer needs, building strong relationships, and creating experiences that resonate. When I moved to Atlanta, I saw a unique opportunity in the luxury transportation industry. What sets me apart is my commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and genuine passion for creating memorable experiences for my clients.

I’m most proud of building KAM Transit LLC into a brand synonymous with professionalism and luxury. What excites me is the opportunity to elevate the transportation experience in a city as vibrant and dynamic as Atlanta. My goal is to ensure every client feels valued and cared for, whether they’re an executive, a family, or someone celebrating a special occasion.

It definitely wasn’t easy, but the challenges taught me resilience and adaptability. Moving to a new city and starting a business in a competitive industry required determination and creativity. One of the biggest hurdles was balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with family responsibilities, but I’ve learned to lean on my support network.

Another challenge was breaking into an established market and earning the trust of clients. I overcame this by staying true to my values: prioritizing exceptional service, building authentic relationships, and continuously learning to improve our offerings.

I’ve learned that success is about consistency, resilience, and the ability to adapt to change. Listening to clients and exceeding their expectations is key. Another valuable lesson is the importance of surrounding yourself with people who support and inspire you. Collaboration and community have been vital to my journey.

I want the world to know that KAM Transit LLC is more than a transportation company—it’s a brand built on integrity, excellence, and a deep commitment to serving others. We strive to provide a level of care and luxury that makes every journey unforgettable. My story is one of seizing opportunities, embracing challenges, and creating something meaningful for my clients and community. Through KAM Transit, I aim to leave a lasting legacy of service and professionalism in Metro Atlanta.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta, I’d make sure they experienced the city in style with KAM Transit, ensuring seamless pick-ups and drop-offs throughout their trip. We’d start with breakfast at Flying Biscuit Café, followed by a visit to Ponce City Market and a walk along the BeltLine. I’d take them to explore Atlanta’s rich history at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park and enjoy Southern cuisine at spots like Mary Mac’s Tea Room and South City Kitchen. We’d unwind at Piedmont Park and the Atlanta Botanical Garden, catch a game or live show at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and enjoy upscale dining in Buckhead. A day trip to Helen, GA, for wine tasting and mountain views would add a unique touch, and we’d cap the week with a visit to the Atlanta History Center and a final toast at Two Urban Licks. With KAM Transit, the journey would be as enjoyable as the destinations.

Yes, I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my father-in-law, Rob Gibbs. He has been an invaluable part of my journey as my trusted Chief Operating Officer and chauffeur. With decades of experience in the transportation industry—having successfully run a valet company in Philadelphia and years as a professional driver—his exceptional expertise and dedication have been instrumental in shaping KAM Transit LLC. His wisdom, work ethic, and unwavering support have helped lay the foundation for the high standards of service we provide today. I’m deeply grateful for his contributions to our business and his role in our continued success.
