We had the good fortune of connecting with Mónica and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mónica, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind our brand’s success is God. He has been steering this ship since day one. It has been amazing to see how he’s cleared the way for all of the obstacles I may have had in my head. Allowing him to lead the way and trusting him to open doors for us, has been a beautiful demonstration of his faithfulness.

What should our readers know about your business?
I believe that what makes The Event Edit so special, is our commitment to creating customized designs based entirely on our client’s vision. It’s more than just decor for us, we want to be able to bring their dreams to life in a thoughtful and personalized way. We take time with each client to provide them with visuals of what their big day will look like, and I think this gives them the ease that their special day is being handled with as much love and passion, as if they were designing it all on their own.

Getting to where we are today hasn’t been easy, like many entrepreneurs, we’ve faced challenges, but making sure every event feels special no matter the scale, is what has allowed us to continue to grow. Our passion for creativity and dedication to delivering top-tier service have helped us push through. Customer service is a top priority for us, we want to provide our clients with top quality service all around, and I believe that our clients see that, which is why they’re always willing to refer us, leave reviews, and entrust their future events to us.

We’ve learned the value of preparation, it’s a big part of what helps us succeed. It allows us time to pivot and make adjustments ahead of time, instead of having to face unexpected challenges that may affect the outcome of our events.
Communication is another top priority for us, every detail matters to us. We love to have open communication with our clients and get all of the details necessary to bring their vision to life. We’re here to provide them with a service, and that service is not completed until the client is happy. Finally trusting our creative instincts. Every event teaches us something new, and with that our instincts grow a little more each time. We make sure to follow these, and not suppress them, even if it means working longer or harder to achieve something. These have all shaped the relationships we’ve built with our clients and the moments we’ve been trusted to help create.

What we want the world to know is that The Event Edit isn’t just about decorating a space, it’s about telling a story through design. We take pride in crafting experiences that are not only visually stunning but also deeply personal. Whether it’s an intimate baby shower or a large-scale wedding, we handle every event with love and care, because to us, every event matters, and we are grateful to ur clients for entrusting us with them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, we’re more of a family game night kind of crew. So if my best friend was visiting for a week, the itinerary would be laid-back, fun, and about quality time.

We’d do some backyard BBQ—grilling, music, card games, maybe a little Uno or Spades tournament going. During the day, we’d spend time by the pool, just relaxing and catching up, and maybe do an escape room or some shopping.

In the evening, we might venture out for dinner at Passador Brazilian Steakhouse in Alpharetta—great food and a nice atmosphere. Another night we may have dinner at Delbar in Old Milton, and just come back home to enjoy quality time with the family.

We believe the best memories are made when everyone feels at home, and that’s the kind of experience we’d create for any visitor.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate this shoutout to God and my family— My husband Omar, my daughter Carolina, my parents Deborah & Jose, & my brother Itamar. My husband has blindly supported me in order for me to be able to pursue this journey and do it the right way from the beginning. My parents and my brother, have spent countless hours helping me create setups, and never have a no when it comes to throwing on a uniform and helping me get the job done. My daughter, is my drive. I want her to be able to look at me and know that if I did it, she can also do it. Last but foremost, God, without him none of this would be possible.
