We had the good fortune of connecting with Mone Symone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mone, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever made was leaving my hometown in Chicago. Just moving all those miles away from my family was very hard for me.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m most proud of starting my own business and being a community leader. Of course it wasn’t easy to quit a job at the age of 21 and start a business. I didn’t always have a stable life so I had to go harder than most women my age. Especially with me being a single mother. My biggest lesson I learned was how to be patient. Patience is the key to success! When people hear about Mone Symone I want them to see me as a human being.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to buckhead or midtown because you can find really good food and meet really nice people.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout-out to my brother Dj Frankie French. He’s always been my biggest supporters. He’s not only my big brother but he is my dj, and producer. Thanks Frankie I love you so much! I’m your biggest fan always and forever. Shoutout to my parents for having my back always. And last but not least shoutout to my daughter Naomi Victory because without you I’m nothing.
