We had the good fortune of connecting with MK Wits and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi MK, what principle do you value most?
Love matters most to me as a value and a principle because you have to give love to receive love. The highest valued currency, that’s free to exchange. And when it is truly felt, it is unmatched.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a very versatile artist, ranging from painting a canvas to rockin the mic both with sensual vibes aimed to pierce the soul. The world should know my brand is one of love and empowerment. I encourage people to be the best them they can be regardless of what others have to say, you are beautiful and sexy and free. My journey has been eventful, beginning with reciting poetry at open mics to gradually getting into showcase performances, winning a couple competitions, I started to gain more confidence in my artistic ability. On the business side, being independent, I have come across many hiccups most being financial. My biggest lessons learned along the way are research before doing business, deposits required and be patient rather than impulsive with business decisions. Just because it glitters don’t mean it’s gold..
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A great time around the DMV would involve a trip to Red Crab House in Laurel, Rico Loco in DC, and Pho 75 in Rockville. Fun places include Main Event in Columbia, Md or the Autobahn. I’m a big gamer so I enjoy D&B, The Boardroom DC, or even a pool hall. And of course all the museums of DC are a must to visit, along with Hst Ne.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my family first and foremost, 722 gang. I’d also like to shoutout everyone that’s encouraged me to continue pursuing my destiny even when I couldn’t see the light. Thank you!
