We had the good fortune of connecting with Mitali Patel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mitali, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to lead a life that was built by my passion and values, while being able to help others. It’s best said by Harvey Mackay “find something you love to do, and you won’t work a day in your life.” Also, as a mom of two daughters, I wanted to teach them that we have the ability to do it all, while leaving a legacy.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is real estate in varying facets. I am a realtor at Keller Williams Atlanta Perimeter, an owner of a real estate residential investment company, and an investor in commercial real estate.
I have a financial analyst background, and real estate investing and wealth building experience. When working with a client, not only am I helping them purchase or sell their home, I am also helping them to achieve a lifestyle they desire while keeping their long term financial aspirations in mind.
Lots of hard work, passion, persistence through doubtful times, and mentorship from my friend and fellow realtor, Rachel Poore and others from Keller Williams helped me get to where I am today. No, it was not easy. Initially it was challenging and stressful, but with experience it became challenging and fun!
I want the world to know that I love being a mother, a wife, and a driven entrepreneur. I believe that with the right amount of effort, anything can be accomplished.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite dining and shopping places are Buckhead Village, Avalon, Historic Roswell, and Downtown Alpharetta. All of them have boutique store, nice restaurants, and I always meet interesting and fun people here.
I enjoy hiking around Atlanta too. I like Stone Mountain and Vickery Creek Trail. We can do a little picnic at the park after the hike.
Sightseeing Atlanta is also a fun adventure. Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, and CNN Center are some of the must do’s here. I would end the day at The Roof at Ponce City Market. I love that you play games, enjoy drinks while having the best views of the city.
No girls trip is over with out a day at the spa. I would spend the day at Chateau Elan, getting pampered in their world class spa, & ending it wine tasting at their vineyard.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe my success to my husband, Chirag, and my brother, Viraj. While Chirag is my biggest cheerleader, Viraj was the one who recognized my calling and encouraged me to pursue a career in real estate.
Also, Gary Keller’s book – “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent: It’s not about the money, it’s about the best you can be” has inspired me to live a life worth living. I love the Keller Williams culture, and owe a lot of my success to what I have learnt in Bold & Mastermind.
