Meet Misstip | BarbHER, loctician, cleaning specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Misstip and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi MissTip, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I always want people to remember that I worked and I worked hard for it. Each and every service I offered has been accomplished with compassion and servitude on my heart.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
1. I am most proud of being able to stay consistent.
2. I got here by seeing where demand was in the businesses that surround me. “Observation”
3. I do not believe there’s a real way to overcome the challenges because everyday seems to bring about a new challenge. The key is to work through them gracefully not overcome them, for me.
4. A few lessons that can be intertwined with daily work life would be: be kind to everyone, do not overbook or count your pockets prematurely, and utilize all your resources.
5. I enjoy being a serving worker, my work comes from my heart

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my best friend comes to town:
1. Brunch at Breakfast Boys is mandatory
2. Georgia Aquarium is a classic oldie but goofy, it never gets less amazing with each visit
3. I will usually ask her to find a spot/event because tourists see things that we don’t by living here
4. Visiting smaller businesses is a must bc they give southern hospitality it’s name
5. Because I hava child, we tend to do something that he can also participate in whether it be: movies, trampoline park, walking through centennial park, or a hike via Stone Mountain

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I credit my 16 year success in the barber industry and my switch to commercial cleaning and window treatments upon my Atlanta move to my WHYs. My WHYs are the reason I grind, the reason I can remain dedicated, and the underlying reason for it all. I not only do what I do to provide for them but also to be a living example of how to get it on your own.
