We had the good fortune of connecting with Mila TheMagician and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mila, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’ve lived all over the east coast but I call Raleigh, NC “home”. I’ve lived in near Wilmington, Delaware, Allentown, Pennsylvania, DC, Charleston, South Carolina & Charlotte, as well. Every city has had a hand into shaping me as a person. I was put in the position to re-invent myself with every move but I’ve been able to maintain who I am as I’ve grown. Every city gave me something different. Delaware taught me about “Tribe Vibez” & how family doesn’t always have to be blood. Allentown showed me the meaning of true friendship. DC taught me to make my own decisions no matter who was watching with an opinion. Charleston was the launch of my spiritual awakening. Charlotte taught me about separating myself from others as becoming Elite. Raleigh is where I was molded. It’s where I grew up, where I lived & learned, where I was hurt & taken advantage of. Raleigh taught me that Life goes on. The impact each city had us why I can move forward through life as a woman without limits.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In my line of work, there are many different facets. I consider myself a Renaissance Woman, who has many talents & expertises. I pride myself on providing care mentally & physically for women at all stages of their lives. I provide intuitive guidance for everyday life, doula support for before, during & after pregnancy, lactation help for new mothers & insight on mental health going forward. I started out by using my “mom blog” to go live and speak candidly with my followers on MiracleMamaTV. We would talk wild topics, parenting topics & more about life, love, society & more. This helped me grow my platform and I was pushed to start the first phase of my business MahogYoniMama from there. I sell holistic remedies for colds & sickness, oils for all kinds of ailments & Baltic Amber jewelry from baby teething necklaces to ChakraAligner Waistbeads for adults. I also offer branding & marketing help to fellow small business owners. Soon after. I felt comfortable delivering psychic tarot readings & launched MYM RENAISSANCE SERVICES to act as an umbrella to all my businesses into one. As I transformed into MilaTheMagician, I learned that tarot was limiting my powers and I decided to create & produce my own Designer Intuitive Decks. I morphed MahogYoniMama into Alchemy & Art Botanica & Boutique. So I now have 4 decks available on my site AlchemyNArt.Com, as well as, clothes & my original products from MYM’s first launch. I also have Blessed Auras Events, where I travel to curate events that bring spiritualists together to meditate, network & get collective readings together while supporting local vendors! I have a national tour planned for this summer! I’m so excited!
It was not easy at all. I had many failures! From investing in myself & ending up homeless for 8 months to losing some my closest friends to rumors and drama that came with the territory. But through it all, I learned that “everyone can’t go”. I used the pain to produce a better version of myself and my business. I use my failures as lessons for my clients.
I want the world to know that my gift transcends past my projects. I pride myself on planting seeds in others that will inevitably grow into greatness. I love when I see a client quote me on their social media or start a spiritual company after a reading or event. My brand is about lighting a spark in others to achieve their highest purpose. Investing in or spending money with my business is truthfully an investment in yourself as a person & a growing movement for yourself!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was coming to town, I’d have a list of the best spots in my notes to try! My all-time favorite spot to party is Red Martini in Buckhead. It’s a beautiful vibe, with great music, hookah and the crowd is young but mature. My favorite restaurant by far is Escobar! I’ve been there so many times I can’t count. It’s great for brunch! That’s my favorite time to go. I also ADORE Garden Parc! It’s beautiful and quaint. Awesome for a classy dinner with friends who don’t mind spending on a luxury experience. But if I can be honest, I drag everyone of my friends with me on a hike up Arabia Mountain. I found myself there 5 years ago & never turned back. We go a little off the trail but it’s so beautiful & mind-clearing. You will not be the same when you come down. I’ll be hosting meditation classes there this Summer!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my daughters & goddaughters. Khyanne & Portrait, I love you so much & everything I do is to give you the life I always promised. Sinalee, thank you for being my backbone when I was alone & filling in the gaps for the little ones while I put myself together. Stellar, thank you for pushing me to believe in my mission when I wanted to give up. Onyx, thank you for coming into my life & never questioning our connection. You all give me the strength to persevere regardless of any circumstances.
