We had the good fortune of connecting with Mikal Bright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mikal, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

I started my business because I saw a need for it. I noticed that many people were struggling to understand technology, and I wanted to help them. I have always been a tech-savvy person, and I find it easy to figure things out. I also enjoy teaching others, so I thought it would be a great way to combine my skills and passions.

I started by offering free consultations to people who were having trouble with their technology. I quickly realized that there was a lot of demand for my services, so I decided to start my own business. I now offer a variety of services, including:

Technology consulting
Technology training
Technology support

I am passionate about helping people understand and use technology, and I am excited to see my business grow. I believe that everyone should have access to the benefits of technology, and I want to make it easier for people to get the help they need.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I’ve always been interested in technology and started my career as a Helpdesk Engineer. I worked for a few companies in that role and learned a lot about the various aspects of the software and hardware used.

After a few years, I decided to start my own business. I wanted to be my own boss and have more control over my work. So I started a company that provides technology consulting and training services.

I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished in my career. I’ve helped so many people learn about and use technology and it has made a difference in the community.

I’m also excited about the future. I believe that technology has the potential to make the world a better place, and I want to be a part of that. I’m working on developing new ways to understand new technologies that can help people in their everyday lives.

Getting to where I am today professionally has not been easy. There have been a lot of challenges along the way, but I’ve learned a lot from those challenges, and I’ve become more substantial.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is imposter syndrome. I’ve often felt like I don’t belong in the tech industry and doubted my abilities. But I’ve learned to overcome those doubts by focusing on my strengths and accomplishments.

Another challenge I’ve faced is self-promotion. I’m not naturally a self-promoter, but I’ve learned that getting my name out there is essential if I want to be successful. I’ve learned to be more comfortable discussing my work and accomplishments.

I’ve learned a lot of lessons along the way, but one of the most important is that hard work pays off. If you’re willing to put in the effort, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

I also learned that it’s essential to surround yourself with positive people who believe in you. Having a solid support system is necessary for success.

I want the world to know I’m a passionate and dedicated technologist. I’m committed to using technology to make the world a better place. I’m also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.

I’m excited to see what the future holds. I believe that technology has the potential to change the world, and I want to be a part of that change. I’m working on developing new ways to understand the latest technologies that can help people in their everyday lives. I’m also working on creating a more inclusive and diverse tech industry.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my story. I hope it will inspire others to follow their dreams and pursue their passions.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

OK, so for day 1, after they have checked into their hotel. We would try and go up either Ponce City Market or Colony Square for lunch. Next, we would go up and do a drive-around of Downtown Atlanta, showing a lot of the Historic Monuments and Historic places around the city. Then we would go to this place called Das BBQ in West Midtown area for dinner.

On day 2, For Breakfast we would go over to Flying Biscuit in West Midtown. After showing them around the west midtown area, we would go up the Lenox Square to see the area and go shopping, and then have lunch at Fogo de Chão.
After that, depending on the time of year it is, we would go to a Braves Games or head up to TopGolf in Alpharetta. For dinner, we would head up to Superica at the Avalon.

On day 3, for breakfast, we would go to Just Brunch up here in Gwinnett. After breakfast, we would then head up to Chateau Elan to enjoy the winery. We would also have lunch there as well. After spending the day up at the winery we would then head over to the Forum to one of my favorite places called Aomi.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my amazing wife, Larencia. She is the love of my life and my best friend. She is always there for me, no matter what. She is my biggest supporter and my biggest fan. She is the most beautiful, intelligent, and kind-hearted woman I know. I am so grateful to have her in my life.

I would not be where I am today without her. She has helped me through some of the toughest times in my life, and she has always believed in me. She is my rock, and I know that I can always count on her.

I love her more than words can say. She is my everything.

Thank you, Larencia, for everything and I love you more than anything.
