We had the good fortune of connecting with Mighty Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mighty, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Because it’s something that gives me purpose. My older brother told me that if I ever find something that can give me purpose then I should go for it. I also learned that over the years that it something that makes me help knowing that I can be myself while spreading through my songs and brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is that I’m a hard work and that I never give up no matter how much opposition I face. it wasn’t easy to get where I’m at today but I still have a long way to go. When I first started remembered people doubted me and assumed I didn’t write my own lyrics . There were times people use to prank call me and say rude things that “you’ll never be a rapper” or much worse. I use to get rejected every time I signed up for a open mic in my town because no one didn’t want a christian rapper on the scene. The lessons I learned is that not everyone is your friend but there are a few who will forever be like family. I also learned that professionalism is very important but never compromise who you are. I want people to know that through my story if I can do it then you can because as a kid I never was good at anything but I was always working hard and never giving up on a goal. thats the Mighty Sanchez Brand

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them downtown and show them the James Brown Statue. Downtown Augusta is the place to be on the First Friday of the month.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
David Bowers From Coffee Geek. He has took the time to mentor me in a way where I am able to balance my faith and music career very well even though he doesn’t know much about the music industry and such. he still takes the time to remind me who I am and how I should go about it
