We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle Hibbert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
In my profession working as a transformational life coach work/life balance is always a hot topic for clients. Of course I have to be role model and consider my own work/ life balance too.

I would say that over time my balance leans towards the personal side of my life. I want to enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and traveling. All those things bring me so much joy. Granted I love the work that I do with clients but I make sure I set boundaries to switch off and enjoy all the other things that life has to offer. We only live once right.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My life coaching practice is centered around the six elements of wellness: physical, emotional, occupational, social, spiritual, and intellectual. This sets me apart from other coaches as I help bridge the connection of these wellness elements with my client’s unique needs and goals they want to achieve. I take pride in fostering a supportive and empowering environment where clients feel seen, heard, and encouraged to unlock their full potential. What I get the most excited about is when I witness the transformative journeys of my clients as they experience profound shifts in their lives, realizing newfound levels of fulfillment and happiness. It always gives me goosebumps.

As with building any new business, it is always a challenge in the beginning years as you have to market yourself constantly in person or online, build those relationships, nurture them, and build credibility. Networking can be a full-time job in itself. (work/life balance remember) One of the major challenges I have noticed with this industry is that you have to break down the big barrier of it is OK to get help. Many people don’t want to get help and will only seek it when there is a dire emergency or when something catastrophic happens. So I try to deliver the message that help is a good thing and that it is the stepping stone to change. We all deserve to truly live the life we want so let’s live it as best as possible.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the power of authenticity and genuine connection. Building trust with clients requires transparency, empathy, and a willingness to meet them where they are on their journey. Additionally, I’ve learned the importance of adaptability and resilience in the face of setbacks. Every challenge presents an opportunity for learning and growth, and maintaining a positive mindset is essential for overcoming obstacles and moving forward.

I want the world to know that my coaching practice is founded on a genuine passion for helping others live their best lives plus let’s have some laughs along the way. I am very results-driven, with a focus on empowering individuals to cultivate wellness in all areas of their lives. I believe that everyone has the potential to thrive, and my mission is to provide the support and guidance needed to unlock that potential.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start by taking them to some super cool restaurants in the city. My 1st place being Del Bar for some Middle Eastern Food, and then head to Barcelona for some great Spanish food. For a cool chilled vibe, I would take them to Bar Taco for some cheap and cheerful Mexican food and Jinya for some tasty Ramen.

For places to learn about the history of Atlanta, I would definitely take them to a variety of historical sites, Martin Luther King’s House & Museum, the Human Civil Rights Museum. For more fun the GA Aquarium and possibly the Coca-Cola Museum.

To see a great view of Atlanta I would take them to the bar at the top of the Westin for drinks to see the 360 aerial view.

For entertainment, I would take them to a sporting event (football, basketball, baseball, soccer or even a college game), find out what concerts are taking place in the city, or find out what shows are on at the Fox Theatre. For dancing, I would take them to either the Clermont Lounge or Roaring Social as these places always have good music. You can never get bored in Atlanta as there is so much to do but these would be my major choices.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to say that there are so many people who I can give a shout out to, to say thank you for their advice, motivation, and encouragement. But I have to give a HUGE thank you to my Life coach Erin Kreitz for believing in me and my talents and pushing me forward into this new career direction. She was able to help me through my personal and professional struggles, as there was a lot, and she guided me to a clearer picture of who I was and what I wanted my life to look like. She got me where I am today now and eternally grateful for that.
