We had the good fortune of connecting with Mia Hann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mia, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Whole Life Healing Center was formed in the domestic violence shelter at one of the lowest points in my life. I had to make a choice to take a risk and a leap of faith to walk away from my 100k position to walk in my calling to assist survivors transitioning out of the shelter. The risk was great but the ability to help Domestic violence survivors transition out of the shelter, feed the hungry and bless students have been more than rewarding enough for me. We have expanded from a grassroots nonprofit into a multi-State 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Whole Life Healing Center is a 501c3 nonprofit that was formed while I was in Promise Place domestic violence shelter. I am most proud about the growth and impact we have experienced since we were founded. Walking away from a full-time job to answer the call to assist domestic violence survivors, the homeless, students and families facing food insecurities was not easy but it have been a blessing and more than rewarding.
A grassroots nonprofit was difficult to maintain over the years; finding funding, sponsors and donors have been the biggest challenge for us. I remember praying to God for wisdom and Whitty Ideas to raise money. The prayer was answered, we have started hosting Unsilenced Fashion shows to raise funds to transition survivors out of the shelters across multiple States.
I have learned to trust my discernment in business. That Gut feeling, the small voice inside. I also learned that one persons NO is the opportunity for another person to say YES.
I want the world to know that Whole Life Healing Center is on a mission to be a blessing all over the NATION! We need prayers, volunteers, sponsors, donors and volunteers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friends to breakfast in downtown Atlanta at TOAST After breakfast I would take them to Phipps Plaza to shop
After shopping we would have lunch down town at six feet under
We would then go to Yoga class with coach Nikki
We would go back to my house to shower and rest for a while
We would end the night by going out for food and dancing at Rock Steady
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
