We had the good fortune of connecting with Metrova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Metrova, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Aside from talent, it’s Customer service. I’ve been in the retail industry for over 15 years, and genuine and pleasant service wins all the time. Think about it. Anyone selling ANYTHING NEEDS customers. Customers go where they’re wanted. I always ensure communication is clear and genuine, with a personalized flair to each potential client. 

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
All of my artwork greeting cards are one of a kind. Only using scissors, I hand cut all pieces out of forms of paper and fabrics to create images. I am most proud to focus on the hand cut aspect and not falling into the machinery trap. Call my work couture stationery. Getting to where I am now was difficult. Juggling multiple jobs with a toddler can be scary. I overcame these challenges by being mindful of time management. Lessons I’ve learned along the way is that I deserve all the good things because I work hard. Hard work, focus, and PASSION gets the job done. I want the world to know that this is just the beginning for paper row, and my dedication to growing the brand is unmatched

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Over the course of the week, (without covid restrictions) we will explore new restaurants, art exhibits, comedy shows, and enjoy some night life. The most exciting things to check out are new places. They’re fresh and have a different welcoming environment

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Dedicated to my 6year old daughter. She is always pushing me to do my best, and is very critical of my work. She has joined me in designing her own cards for Paper Row, and working beside her is the best feeling in the world.
