We had the good fortune of connecting with Meredeth S. Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meredeth, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I am what you call a “wanna-preneur!” I want to be an Entrepreneur. but I am risk adverse. This business has forced me to step outside my comfort zone and take a risk. I am still very cautionary when it comes to how I approach my business, but I have flexed mental muscles I didn’t know I had! Sometimes you just have to jump in with both feet and sink or swim and I am too stubborn to sink.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I wear multiple hats, from mom, chauffeur, chef, doctor, peacemaker to consultant and boutique owner. Not only do I have a day job being a mom, I also own my own business as a franchise sales & development consultant for franchisors and also a boutique owner.

Juggling all of these roles have really taught me organizational skills like no other time in my life. The need to prioritize and be present in everything I do is a must.

My boutique journey started from a unhappy stint in a 9-to-5 that really crushed my spirit and had me doubting myself. After much thoughtful prayer, I felt led to try and do something to really empower women of ALL ages, shapes & sizes.

I wanted women to feel beautiful just the way God made them and know they had a safe space to shop and be embraced by me, personally. It seems difficult in today’s society  to stay stylish and age appropriate as we get older. As a mom and a woman in my 40’s, there is always a need for me to keep it casual and also to dress up when appropriate.

I really struggled with finding styles that made me love what I saw in the mirror. I offer unique, limited quantities in sizes XS-3XL so that women will know they won’t look like they just stepped out of the big box store, like everyone else. I also offer 1:1 virtual style consultations for those who need a boost of self-confidence with a side of styling assistance!

Faith and family are the most important things in my life and learning how to balance everything else around those can definitely be a challenge!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We definitely would hit Ponce City Market, walk the beltline, stop at Illuminarium for a unique immersive experience and then head to Superica for the best tex-mex in Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family. My husband, Andrew Jones (not be confused with famous baseball player) has been an amazing support as well as my 12-yr. old, Harrison, who is always willing to roll up his sleeves and pitch in where needed.
