We had the good fortune of connecting with MeMe Stanley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MeMe, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
The habits that helped me succeed were consistency, perseverance, tenacity, and stellar customer service. Consistency in the quality of my drinks.. making sure that each and every drink taste delicious exactly as it should. Using the freshest of hand picked ingredients. We have strived to persevere thru every situation or bump in the round and achieved that with our tenacity. We want each and every client to have a safe and fun experience. Our customer service is top tier.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
BarBees Atl stands out from the rest because of the experience we create. The cutest yet sexy uniforms, The professionalism, and in a fun yet safe environment.

I’m most excited about where BarBees Atl is heading in the future and most proud of how far we’ve come. Growth no matter how big or small should be celebrated.

Professionally getting where we are today took consistency, hard work, and dedication. Pushing ourselves even when we had no energy to push. I think when you do something that you enjoy it makes it a bit easier to do it. When it’s something of your own that you’ve created and you want to see it grow and manifest into what you dreamed it to be challenges become minuscule.

Lessons learned along the way are good bookkeeping, branding, marketing, and trustworthy employees.

I want the world to know that this is only the beginning for BarBees Atl. We will be a household name. “Creating a Buzz” all over the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well being from Atlanta there are a number of places I frequent however if I’d have to narrow down an itinerary it’d would be: Monday- Magic city or Red martini
Tuesday- tacos and tequila then Rose Bar
Wednesday- two urban licks
Thursday- happy hour at Suite lounge
Friday- Atlanta comedy theater or Uptown comedy corner
Saturday- Atlanta botanical garden/ Piedmont park
Sunday – brunch milk and honey

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are 2 people I hold dear to my heart that I must shout out. The first being my sister/best friend for introducing me to the craft of bartending. We’ve done so many events in the past that she curated. She put the bartending buzz in my ear. Secondly I’d like to thank my daughter for pushing me to make my own signature drinks. Trust without these 2 ladies there’d be no BarBees Atl.
