We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa V Neal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Melissa V, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
It has changed drastically. From photo shoots, to gigs, my fitness business, to being a wife and a Mom. Also keeping a full time job. Balance is very important. One day I realized no one is going to just give you success. You got to work for it. So I had to find that balance in order to achieve all of the things that I am doing now.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This has been a long journey that I am still on. Im still finding out about myself everyday. It was not easy getting into the business. I overall challenges by never giving up, and not taking things personal. We have to understand when working on a goal we can’t give up and understand that if one doors closed to knock the next one down! I have learned many lessons along the way. One thing I’ve learned is to never lose the vision of what you want. I want the world to know. You can do if if you really set your mind to it. Everything will align in due time.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly I just love Nature. A good time to me is just hanging out outside and writing. Anywhere there is lots of greenery. I have found during my journey in life. The simple things matters to me. As long as we are having a good time, it doesn’t matter rhe place. Im gonna make good out of any situation.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to recognize my team. My team is the big reason why I am able to keep up with everything and maintain my mental health. My husband/Drummer Demetrius
