Hi Melchez, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After years of asking insiders for help and guidance, I grew tired of getting the run around. People will only help you as long as your no threat or competition to them. I feel that there is no competition and there’s more than enough work to go around two or three times. But not everyone feels the same so the majority of people in the same arena refuse to tell how they truly became successful. There’s an underlying fear of the next man becoming more successful than the one who taught him. So with that in my I took it upon myself to start GLOBAL CURRENCY MULTIMEDIA ENT/DECATURDON FILMZ.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets GLOBAL CURRENCY MULTIMEDIA Ent/DECATURDONFILMZ apart is the realness. The realness of the streets, and the daily grind and struggle of fighting for success. In the beginning it was only a struggle to build the confidence of the people. Because noone takes you seriously until you show & prove yourself. After a few filming projects mainly Underground Independent Artist Videos, the masses have gravitated towards my works and therefore made me a success. I’d be nowhere without the love & support of the people. It’s a challenge to appease everyone. So you must find your targeted or base group. That is a struggle when your in a industry that has camellion like tendencies meaning it changes constantly. Knowing that, you have to be a swift thinking and posses the prowess to adjust, adapt, and remain the freshness of your creative ideas. A lesson I’ve learned throughout my tenure is first; Nobody will work your business for you until they see your work ethic and fruits of your own labor. I’ve also learned that you only get out what you put in so if you plan on being successful you must know that there’s a sacrifice you must consider. Time is the most precious thing in the world yet to become successful you must use your time wisely. My brand is here to bring the best of the best to the forefront inorder to captivate audiences of all kinds, mixtures, and backgrounds. We provide entertainment, social interaction, community unification, and upliftment as mentors to our community.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in Atlanta, GA. there’s rarely a dull moment. First I would take them out to eat at one (or more) of the fabulous restaurants throughout the city. Whether it’s a five star restaurant in Buckhead, or J.J.’s Rib Shack on the west side of the city we would get full and very happy with the southern comfort foods and cuisines. Next we would enjoy the night life by stopping by one of the cities many cities night spots. From Edgewood to Old National. Buckhead to the Northside, there’s always something to do. Hookah bars, Silent Headphone parties, or one of the infamous Adult Entertainment Clubs throughout the city, we would never be bored. Now if we didn’t party then there’s several other attractions in our great city. There’s the aquarium, the High Museum, Centennial Park, Six Flags Over GA., and many more attractions to keep you occupied forever.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I’d like to shoutout & give thanks to Allah the Merciful. For giving me inspiration to take a leap of faith in starting my own company. Without God I’d be nothing. Next is a few of my artist that I represent such as; Smoky DB, Mis Babycakes, Gweeto Streets, & Mr. QuackQuack, Also my marketing partner Ms. Temptation. We’ve all been working really hard on the brands and producing great products for our consumers enjoyment.
