We had the good fortune of connecting with Melanie Grandoit and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melanie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My business was birthed out of my own story and experience and being in corporate America for 15+ years. I came to a season where I had lost my identity in my career, job title, and salary. My dreams were to climb the corporate ladder and make a lot of money, however I felt like my soul was dying in the dark gray cubicle I spent 40 hours a week in. My personal dreams, purpose, and vision were non-existent. I left corporate and took time to rest my mind, body and soul. My husband encouraged me to start my own business, which I did.

I am now on a mission to help moms who have left corporate and want to build their brand online. These women want to have freedom of time and purpose and desire to spend more time with their family. They want to build a business they believe in and love. Women who need help packaging their brand visuals and message. Creating a unique brand identity, website, and brand photography.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love branding because each brand starts with an identity. I get to work with women to help them clarify their personal and business identity and then transform it into a unique and beautiful brand that represents them and appeals to the ideal clients they want to serve. With each new project, I get to start with a blank canvas and create a beautiful masterpiece.

I’ve learned to put God first in everything that I do and trust Him along this business journey. I’ve also learned to have faith in myself and believe that there are people in the world who need my help with their brand.

It has not been easy. There have been a lot of ups and downs, especially during the pandemic. When you truly believe in something, keep going, don’t give up!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some great spots to visit in the city are Ponce City Market, High Museum, Fox Atlanta, and Piedmont Park!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my husband, Rey Grandoit! From day one, he encouraged me and believed in me to start my own business. He continues to encourage me when I need it. He is patient with me when I come to him for business advice or want his insight on how to approach different circumstances. He’s given me such great advice. He wouldn’t let me give up and for that I am SO grateful for him!!
