We had the good fortune of connecting with Mel Titsworth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mel, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I am always stressed and the podcast allows me to be me and talk about whatever we want to talk about. I am passionate about speaking about true life situations as it may help someone that is going through the same situation. You never know, so we are honest and vulnerable which definitely helps our listeners if they are going through the same.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In 2020, I asked my goth bestie if she wanted to start a podcast and she didn’t think I was serious about it. Little did she know, I showed up at lunch with a notebook and business plan. We started recording Goth and Bougie Podcast in late 2020 and it has taken off. We have hit the Apple Improv Comedy charts in the USA and internationally. This past year, Belinda decided to take a break and I branched off & changed the name to Death by Pinup podcast since I am a pinup model. We talk about true crime, paranormal, serial killers and real life. We are on all major platforms.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I just moved to Atlanta with my fiancee for his work so I am learning the area too!
I would definitely take her to The Claremont lounge, it is an ATL staple! I would take her to Jackson, GA to see the Stranger Things filming locations. We would hit up a goth club and definitely Mary Mac’s for dinner.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My best friend, Belinda, and fiancee, Mike, without them, I would not exist in this world! They have helped me survive the hardest of times. They are my soulmates and people. I am one lucky lady!
