We had the good fortune of connecting with Meghan Guenther and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meghan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur and while I was pregnant with my oldest son, it was the push I needed to start a business that I could grow and eventually stay home with him. I have a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, where I studied printmaking and graphic design. I decided to marry those two studies into an invitation business. I started with letterpress wedding invitations and that grew into digital invitations and stationery for all occasions. Soon I started to get asked to help other business owners with their marketing materials and that grew into a love of brand design, which is my main focus in my business today.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Mulberry Creative Co., I work with entrepreneurs who are ready to gain confidence and clarity in their brands. Through a blend of strategy, branding, websites, marketing, and systems, I help entrepreneurs build brands that resonate and increase confidence, motivation, and momentum in their businesses.

I believe that branding should have a clear sense of ownership and give entrepreneurs pride to show it off. That’s why I like to dig a little deeper and get to know my clients and their businesses better before I start to design their brands. I truly love helping entrepreneurs and small businesses build their businesses and I love to help them become as successful as possible, so my services extend past just brand design and I also offer web design, marketing materials, social media management, and often help my clients set up systems to run their businesses with ease. I love providing ongoing support to my clients and pride myself on the fact that they know that they can always come to me to help them with their branding and business needs.

I feel like my business is always evolving. I started off creating letterpress wedding invitations and now I am designing branding, websites, and marketing materials for other business owners. The transition may seem strange but it has been an evolution over the last almost 15 years.

Growing a business is never easy. The ebb and flow of owning a business can be stressful. It truly can be feast or famine. Over the years, I have taken on jobs and opportunities to supplement my business as it has grown. Those opportunities have built my strengths and offerings in my business and made me feel confident to take on projects I probably wouldn’t have pursued without those experiences.

I believe being flexible in business and being able to adapt is what has led me to keep doing what I love year after year. I have built a business where I get to help others every day. I get to be creative and design brands that I love, but most importantly, support the businesses that they are for. I get to be present in my family’s lives and be a mom to my boys, which I feel extremely grateful for. I am proud of what I have built and I love helping others achieve those same goals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am based south of Atlanta in Harris County, GA, but when we come to Atlanta we love going to a Braves game at Truist Park. We like to hang out at The Battery before the games. Another favorite stop is Ponce City Market for the great food hall and shops or going to Mary Mac’s for some good southern food. We also like to take our boys to Zoo Atlanta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be where I am today without the love and support of my husband. He supports all my dreams and has always encouraged me every step of the way in growing my business.

I also wouldn’t be where I am without the support of my clients, past and present. Their word-of-mouth referrals are how I have been able to grow my business to where it is today.
