We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Macpherson – Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I think that healing myself has had the most profound impact on my children. I had my first two children when I was very young and had not yet had the experience of healing my childhood trauma and it showed up in the way I parented. I have since had more children and am a totally different parent because I took the time to truly be mindful and observe myself and the things that needed to be healed, improved and transformed. I am now able to teach my children emotional intelligence because I now possess it. I am now able to teach my children healthy boundaries because I now have them and can recognize the importance of respecting the boundaries of others. I am now able to teach my children mindfulness techniques such as pausing before responding and taking deep breaths to process my own feelings. I believe this is the most important thing I’ve done to impact all my children. I am now an example of who I want my children to be in the world and it translates into my impact on the world as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In all honesty I began my business because. I needed to pay my rent. It wasn’t until I began serving women and assisting with their womb health journey’s that I recognized the need to also assist with emotional healing. It’s amazing because it’s kind of like we were healing together, my clients and I. We still are. I was really into hustling and working hard in the beginning until I began to study the work of Neville Goddard, Fred Dodson, Joseph Murray, Napoleon Hill and Florence Scovel Shinn, I began to understand the power of forgiveness and the subconscious mind. I got where I am today professionally by being willing to work on myself personally. I was determined to change my mindset and programming which was set on “lack” from birth. I am most proud of transforming my brand into a vehicle to truly transform people’s lives. Not only have I helped people with fertility, fibroids, PCOS and various other womb conditions, I’ve helped people heal broken hearts and find their confidence and self-esteem. I’ve learned that how I do anything is how I do everything and to overcome challenges you need to first believe in resolution regardless of what the circumstances look like. I’ve learned that not perfect is better than not attempted. I’ve learned that I am my own worst critic and people will judge no matter what so its best to do what will make you happy. I want the world to know that it’s very important to control the mind chatter through repetitive affirmations and my brand is one that you can start with. Yes God, Wellness!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, I’m in Raleigh NC but we would definitely head to Durham to eat and drink. I love 9th street, there’s a spot called Lime and Lemon Grill that has the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted. I’m a hippie so I like hanging out at parks and in nature trails. Lake Johnson in Raleigh is my favorite. I’ve put in a lot of miles there. In Atlanta though, I’d head straight to Raw Tassilis. The punany wrap is the BEST!!! Honestly I’m a homebody. If I’m not in my own house I prefer to be traveling abroad, Berlin is a favorite spot of mine.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many different people, books and organizations that deserve massive credit and recognition in my story. I am eternally grateful to my children, my friends, Tramaine, Amalia, Danielle B (both of them), Gabby, Amber, Meera, Assata, Kristi, Heidi, Lily, Raina, Domari and countless others. I am also very grateful for my mother who has always been a consistent person in my life and has held space for her own healing which in turn rendered her capable to hold space for my own. I would also like to shoutout my late brother Michael for his love and support. I would like to shout out ABC Headstart and the YMCA, they held me down in terms of childcare throughout the years. I am very grateful to my husband Jonathan for seeing the best in me and recognizing my gifts and impact and always being willing to support me. I am also extremely grateful for all my clients who have seen the value in my work and contribution to the world through my business, Yes God Wellness. I would like to shoutout all the amazing people on social media who are providing meaningful and enriching content to help others better themselves.
