Meet Meaghan Weisheipl | Website Developer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Meaghan Weisheipl and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Meaghan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business was not something that I grew up dreaming about. I did not grow up with the “entrepreneur” or “business” mindset at all. I went to college, got a degree, and started working my 9-5 job. After roughly two years of working my full-time job, I quickly realized that I had peaked in my position and that moving up the corporate ladder would require another degree, which I did not want to do. I stayed in my current position for a little while longer, while having plenty of conversations with my husband and doing a lot of soul searching. I knew that my current 9-5 was not enough and that I would not be happy working that same position for the rest of my career. So I began to reflect, and I asked myself what I truly wanted out of life. I wanted time freedom and location freedom. I wanted to be able to travel the world with my husband and family whenever I wanted to. I wanted the ability to be able to work from anywhere and do something that truly set my soul on fire. I wanted the ability to help and be a light to others. So I decided to start an online boutique. I left my 9-5 job and devoted all of my time and attention to my new business. After about seven months of running my online boutique, I started receiving messages from small business owners about building their websites. Sooner rather than later, my inbox started filling up with more and more messages about building websites and before I knew it, I had come to a crossroads. I found myself spending more time building websites rather than focusing on my boutique. I found myself absolutely loving and gravitating towards the technology, coding, and helping other entrepreneurs. So I built Weisheipl and Company and started devoting all of my time and attention to helping other business owners build their websites. It is what I do today and it is what I am extremely passionate about! Starting a business for me was not easy by any means. I had to completely shift my mindset from “employee” to “entrepreneur” which didn’t happen over night. I had to teach myself everything from scratch, bury my head in books, listen to different podcasts, join programs full of people who were way ahead of me, and the list goes on and on. But this is my journey and it has lead me exactly to where I know I am meant to be. I am happier than ever doing the very thing that I love. I also get to be a part of others journey’s by helping them take a huge weight off their shoulders. That in itself is more soul-fulfilling than I could have ever imagined.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the Founder and Owner of Weisheipl and Company and my business focuses primarily on Shopify website development. What sets my business a part from others is the personalization factor. I spend one on one time with each business owner so I can truly understand what their vision is and bring it to life. I start out by having a thirty minute consultation call with each business owner, asking them specific questions and easing all of their anxiety and frustration. I then take about a week to build their entire website, schedule their final consultation call to review their sites with them, make any changes that may be necessary, and then they are ready to launch! Throughout the entire time I am working with these business owners, they have complete access to me, are able to ask any questions they may have, and also present any new requests. I truly take the time to listen and develop a professional relationship with these entrepreneurs!
When I first embarked upon my entrepreneurial journey, I knew absolutely nothing about how to run a business. I didn’t know anything about marketing and sales, and I hated looking at numbers. However, I knew that if I wanted the time freedom, location freedom, and the ability to make all of my dreams a reality, I had to learn. I began to surround myself with other entrepreneurs. I started reading as many business books that I possibly could, spent my time watching hundreds and hundreds of YouTube videos on how to code and things I needed to know about running a business, joining courses, listening to podcasts, etc. etc. I had a complete shift in mindset and really just threw myself into the business world. It was most definitely not easy by any means, but I knew that it would be worth it. I had to continuously push myself to not give up. I would try and fail, then try again. I had lots of challenges along the way, but I began to look at them as an opportunity to grow rather than an obstacle.
I have learned so much throughout my journey, one being that success is found by being consistent and disciplined. I have learned that doing a little bit every. single. day. will get you farther than you can even imagine. Being consistent in your daily routines, being consistent in the amount of work you put into your business, being consistent in literally every area of your life will lead you to success. Consistency also comes with discipline. Motivation is fleeting, so you have to be disciplined. You have to choose to focus on your business, even if you don’t feel like it. You have to choose to read the books, listen to the podcasts, and soak up all the knowledge you can rather than binge watching tv or scrolling on your phone. You have to stop making excuses and discipline yourself. It won’t always be easy, but it will definitely be worth it.
My story is proof that your dream becoming a reality is literally in the palm of your hands. Decide what you want, believe in yourself, and do everything in your power to make it happen. Surround yourself with the people and resources that are going to help get you there, take the time to learn the skills you need to learn, prioritize your dream and the work that it takes. No one is going to do it for you. Decide what you want, go all in, and don’t let anyone or anything stop you. It can be done.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, we would most definitely have a spa day planned at one of the Woodhouse Day Spas. We would enjoy fine dining at one of the Steakhouses like Bones or Hals, then enjoy cocktails on the rooftop at Whiskey Blue. We would enjoy lots of shopping at Lenox Square or Phipps Plaza and then maybe catch a movie! We would spend time going for walks and having a luxurious picnic by Pop Up Picnics Atlanta. We might even spend some time down at Ponce City Market walking the belt line and riding bikes! One night during the week for a more casual dinner we would enjoy the best pizza at Industrial Tavern. We would enjoy walking outside and enjoying the fresh air of the city!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to the Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed me immensely and my husband, Austin Weisheipl. My faith is everything to me and the reason I am here today. I always pray for God’s will over my life, and all of the glory always goes to Him. This shoutout is also dedicated to my husband because he is my biggest supporter, encourager, and has been my rock from the very beginning. He has always believed in me, even when I was struggling to believe in myself. Austin has been there through every high and every low of starting a business from the ground up, motivating and lifting me up along the way. He celebrates all of my successes with his entire heart and he continuously pushes me and challenges me to be my absolute best self. I most definitely would not be where I am today without his love, words of wisdom, and support.
