Meet Matt Tanga | Aspiring Television Host/Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Tanga and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matt, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was and still is finding my purpose and pursing a dream of mine since the age of four. Along my process in starting and entering into the business world, I learned a lot about myself as well as building my spiritual faith with my lord and savior. My purpose was to do something to make me happier but as well have a positive impact on the community.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
To be honest I don’t know what sets me apart from others because I don’t really like comparing myself to others. I am just me. I just love to hold the microphone in my hand and just talk to people. My art is just to connect people together and show how vital it is we need each other. Everyone is talented in some way because God gave that gift to everyone. So I do believe I have the privilege showcasing other people’s art and simply connecting with them.
Was the process easy? Of course not, but I would not change anything. I did have a lot of challenges. First challenge was confidence. If I had what it takes to make videos or talk with people. I questioned a lot if this was my dream. I became a parent at a young age. For years I was just thinking about what’s best for my family. Having to sacrifice your dream so you can provide. But then God showed me I can still provide for my family and still work towards my dream. That is what I started doing in the year of 2021 and that is when Making Accomplishments Through Productions was born.
The biggest lesson I learned and still learning is patience. I kept telling myself God’s timing is perfect timing and I’m just going to just let it happen. If I continue to put the faith and the work in, just leave it to God and listen and see on what he is communicating to me. It is still a challenge everyday because of our own ego. I just have to keep telling myself let God handle it.
But at the end of the day I want everyone out there to know is I’m here just to connect with people and just to spread love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Do you know I lived in Atlanta for over 15 years and still don’t know a lot of places around here? Isn’t that crazy? Don’t judge me! But I would say we got to the arcade. We can walk around The Battery in Smyrna, Georgia. Walk around Atlantic Station as well and just enjoy the scenery. That’s about it!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, definitely! First off I want to thank God! I thank God for allowing me to wake up everyday. It is a privilege to see life and be able to have the strength, the health, and the ability to be able to just walk in his path he has created for me. I’m forever grateful for that. Special shoutout to my beautiful daughters, Nouri & Kalani. Everything I do is for them. I make sure I set an example of how important it is to work hard and to achieve any goal you want. Whatever your heart desires, go for it. More importantly being a father is the most important thing to me. It is my duty to make sure I am providing them with all the tools to be not only successful in this world but to be someone other people can look up to. Making sure we are respectful and kind to one another and just showing love to everyone. To my parents, Fatima and Paul, thank you for being the amazing parents you are. I don’t know what I would be if I did not have the structure, the discipline, and the love if I did not have them. I love them very much. To my brother, Kuda, I love you very much. His hustle, his intellect, and the confidence he has drives me to hustle hard and build up my confidence as well. Also, a special shout out To The love of my life. It feels amazing to have a partner who wants to hustle and motivates you and just gives love as much as I do is amazing. I love you Correy. This list goes on and on so to everyone who shows love and appreciation for me I send it right back tenfold.
