Hi Matt, how do you think about risk?
Risk is everything when it comes to entrepreneurship. At first you need to risk being judged for your new idea. After that you need to risk other things whether that be finances, time, energy, or relationships to get that idea up and running. Taking risks in my career has been game changing. I’d call them calculated risks because whenever I take a risk, I always analyze the good and the bad that can come from it. The risks I’ve taken have allowed me to be financially free and happy. In the beginning it was dropping out of school to become a professional basketball player, and slowly it morphed into risking time, energy and finances to build my business. Those risks have led to nothing but success. However, I’d always advise you weigh your pros and cons first

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a professional basketball player turned Youtuber. My content blew up these past few months and since then I’ve been innovating brand new creative ideas and introducing them to the YouTube/Instagram community. I’m proud that I was able to reach a professional level of basketball and use that platform to build a full scale online business, and brand. It was extremely hard to build. It took hard work and dedication but through detailed scheduling and long hours of filming/working I was able to get my YouTube channel/platform off the ground. My story is different from others because I really worked hard for this opportunity to showcase my abilities to such a big platform. Every day I wake up and brainstorm how I can help others get better at basketball on a worldwide scale, & at the same time entertain them. I put a lot of work and effort into my business and personal brand makes and I want people to see that before they sign onto my program

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Toronto. I’d definitely take one of my buddies out to a raptors / maple leafs game. Get a bite to eat at one of the many different food spots we have, go to the game, and after that maybe head to a club and show them a good time. I’m a very energetic and fun person so if I was introducing one of my friends to this city I’d have to show them how fun it is.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Id like to dedicate my story to my family and loved ones. The ones who have stood by me no matter what in this journey.
