Meet MaSean | Singer, Songwriter and Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with MaSean and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi MaSean, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When starting the process of creating a song, I draw from my life experiences. I find a track that catches my ear, I then sing along til a storyline comes into place. I think of experiences that have happened throughout my life, the ups and downs of love. Once that’s completed , I began writing the lyrics and come up with a title. I find that drawing from my life, the audience will get it and hopefully relate
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I got to where I’m at by a local talent show in my hometown of Hot Springs, AR. I was 16 and knew I had the best original song, which was required a the time. But nonetheless, the talent show built up courage to keep on, even if I’m told, give up on it as a singer
My business discipline is straightforward, I keep pushing and never give up until I reach my goal.
I believe what sets my music apart from what’s out here now, is that I like to take my listeners on a journey into the past. Taking my listeners through the 80’s and 70’s to a time when lyrics mattered
I want my fans to come along with me, as I am a developing singer, who brings you back to that feel good music. Music that will be prevalent in years to come.
When you listen to my music, know it coming from all of the ups and downs of love, a musical journey that we share together.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would first head to one of my favorite restaurants in Buckhead called Chin Chin. It’s one of my favorite spots in the ATL for chinese food. I would suggest my top dish on the menu, shrimp fried rice. I know it sounds simple, but I jazz it up with extra shrimp, green onions, egg and extra spicy. You would love this, no regrets lol.
I would next go to LOOK Dine-In Cinemas in Brookhaven. The name says it all, great drinks and snacks.
The evening can’t end until we hit up 529 bar, where the music is on point.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout-out to Jett. Jett you made all of this possible for me. I wouldn’t be where I’m a today without you. I thank you.
