Meet Marvacia Bright | Licensed Cosmetologist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marvacia Bright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marvacia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was all or nothing. For years I was working a 9-5 to support my family. I would wake up everyday knowing I just wanted to do more. I wanted to help change people’s lives and bring out their inner beauty. I knew that starting a business required more than a thought process. I worked multiple jobs at once through the years, and with a great support system I was able to go to school full time and get my cosmetology license. From there, I then started my very own business in beauty. While I’m still on the journey to becoming one of the biggest beauty brands in the world, I continue to put God first, pray, and work hard everyday for my children and family. Even when I’ve reached my goals, I will still make sure I’m setting more goals to accomplish.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a licensed cosmetologist. I specialize in Eyelash-extensions, and Hair. I’m very excited to see where this journey takes me, and to accomplish all of my goals. I decided to join beauty school and that was the best decision I could have made! I’m now a business owner! Getting to this point has not been easy, but with prayer, a great support system, and my family I’ve made it to achieve more! Starting a business is not all peaches and cream, but looking at my 3 boys everyday strengthens me when I have doubts. Along the way I’ve learned there’s nothing too hard for God. As long as you work hard and stay dedicated you can do anything you want!!

What I would want the world to know :

Im the owner of Get Lash’d Beauty, I’m a licensed cosmetologist and 3x certified lash, and brow artist. I’m also an aspiring singer/actress. Many people don’t know accept close friends and family but I’ve been singing since I was 3 years old, and i’ve never given up on my passion. I’m working hard everyday to pursue all of my dreams, and becoming one of the best #1 black owned beauty brands in the world. I want everyone to know, that if you have dreams or goals, don’t stop until you’ve reached them. It is possible!
