Meet Marty Mayes | Founder of Purposed Movement

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marty Mayes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marty, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy is fulfilling my purpose, and helping others to find and fulfill their purpose too.

Many of us live our entire life searching everywhere to find true happiness, but our truest place of happiness is only found doing and being exactly who you’ve been created to be. Until you walk in your purpose, you will always feel some sort of emptiness or unhappiness in life. But knowing that each day I wake up being exactly who God has called me to be gives me the joy I need to face any and every obstacle that comes my way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the founder of the Purposed Movement, a multi generational bible study group and movement created to simply help others discover their purpose, learn more about Jesus, and provide the necessary resources to help others reach their full potential. I have always had a desire to help others know more about Jesus and discover the life the we were meant to live.

I personally do not believe that we were created to simply live a casual life, then die, and just go to heaven. I believe that we, as a human race, and especially those who are apart of the Kingdom God; were meant to live a “heavenly” or good life while on earth. The secret to that, is fulfulling the purpose God has for us! and I am excited about help others discover that they were meant for SO MUCH MORE.

Getting to where I am today, personally and spiritually, came from having faith in God. Somewhere deep down inside, I always knew God had called me for something. I just decided one day to go after Him, to find out why He came after me- in that I discovered my purpose. Has it been easy? No. I have been through so much in 26 1/2 years, but I never gave up because purpose kept calling me.

It is my prayer that my story and Purposed Movement, will help others to become who God has called them to be, and life the life He has intended for us to live, and that’s a good life! There’s so much in us that we have yet to discover, but if we seek the one who created us- He can show us all the hidden things!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like the dedicate this shoutout to my Tribe- I wouldn’t be who I am or do what I’ve been blessed to do, if they had not believed in me and supported all of ideas. I know the depth of God`s love for me, because of the people who He has placed in my life. When they read this, they’ll know I’m talking about them! I love y’all!!
