We had the good fortune of connecting with Martina Lindo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Martina, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
In recent years I’ve sort of rejected the traditional idea of balance and have embraced harmony as my new north star. Harmony allows you to set the pace and tone for what your life looks like without the pressure of trying to create a perfect sense of balance. Instead of constantly striving to juggle everything equally, which can feel impossible and often leads to guilt or frustration, harmony invites you to embrace the flow of your unique journey.
As a multi-hyphenate creative, entrepreneur, wife, and mom of two, I’ve come to realize that life isn’t about maintaining a delicate equilibrium where everything gets equal attention. Harmony acknowledges that there are seasons when certain areas of your life will demand more focus and energy, while others may take a backseat—and that’s okay. It’s about being intentional with where you direct your energy and finding peace in that decision, knowing that every aspect of your life doesn’t have to be perfectly balanced at all times.
Harmony lets you accept that there will be moments when work takes precedence, and you might not get as much rest or family time. Other times, family or personal needs might require you to dial back on your professional ambitions temporarily. This approach has allowed me to be more flexible and compassionate with myself, understanding that life is dynamic, and so are the priorities that come with it. I
n the pursuit of harmony, I’ve gained the freedom to shape my life in a way that feels right for me, rather than trying to fit into an ideal of balance that wasn’t serving my well-being or aspirations.

Now, I have to go do this for real!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God first, always. My faith has been the bedrock of every decision, opportunity, risk, all of it that has led to my success in the last 10 years in entrepreneurship. I can truly say without my faith in God, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
I have to shoutout my husband, Javaun, who believes in me so much and truly holds down my kids in a way that I am forever grateful.
My partner in purpose and business partner Jhaneal, who keeps pushing me to believe and receive more.
And finally, Rachel Rodgers for her book We Should All Be Millionaires,– this book changed my life. It challenged me, comforted me, and guided me in a season where growth was a must!
