We had the good fortune of connecting with Martha Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Martha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to use my passion of cleaning so that I could be proud and enjoy. Working.I wanted to leave behind a generational wealth for my children and grandchildren.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My company’s name is HaloTouch Cleaning Service. At HaloTouch we listen to our clients. We just dot clean We help increase the quality of life for some of our clients. We want to make sure that we are supportive of the needs of our clients. Most of our clients are elderly or have some issues with maintaing their homes. I believe HaloTouch is doing well because we listen and conform to each situation to get the best result. I have learned that it is okay to be honest with clients .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Atlanta culture.I would take my bestfriend to the aquarium and the Civil rights museum. I am also adventurous so sixflags and the new water park Spivey Splash would be included. I love to sit and reflect by water so we would sit on Sweetwater creek and catch up. I’m a foodie so we would eat at a few of my favorite spots .I like mustard seed bbq, Baltimore seafood and try a few new places that are small businesses as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give my family the Shout out. .My mom ,my fiancee,my kids have been so very supportive of me. They have worked along side me to get my business going. MY SON Corey is hands down my biggest worker. My Church Family at St.Mark AME has also been a financial support as well. And Greg NeSmith who showed me the ropes and how to breakthru into the business.
