We had the good fortune of connecting with Martez (Tezthagreat) Mosley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Martez (Tezthagreat), we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process was how can I make an impact and start a business at the same time and the answer was music. From writing music and having a great ear for music and knowing the right people it only made sense.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart from others is that not only do I write music and a&r it. I am a die hard fan of the music and the people who made it before me and I’m always a student and learning and it excites me more to find out who wrote and produced the record more than who performed it lol. Lessons I’ve learned is that not everyone is serious and will try you if you let them. I want the world to know that I have a voice and want to bring dope music that will stand the test of time and that my contributions to music don’t go unnoticed.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My fav spots in the city I have several lol I like to eat so Ginos pizza is the beez neez omg man the best pizza I’ve had in a while !! Definitely will eat there and if you have a sweet tooth Tiffs treats ,best cookies ever downtown Atlanta and the night life is incredible a few lounges I love going to Medusa and the red martini and pretty much anywhere B Cox and Keith Thomas host lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe alot to a few people without their love , encouragement and faith in me to do what I do I wouldn’t be here now. And that credit goes to my dope friend the first person who gave me a shot in ATL and always answeres my call is Misha Fair she is amazing and so worthy of much more. Another woman who deserves credit even though our stint was short lived Tiffany J gave me my first publishing deal always thankful for that. Of course my family, friends and my team at Creative Ink Music and Bangvillage
