We had the good fortune of connecting with Marshaie Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marshaie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business because I liked the thought of having the freedom of being my own boss, but I also felt the desire to offer my unique gifts to the world in a way that I could express passionately and freely. I wanted to work for myself and create something that I would be well known for.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My niche is Sunsets and Nature. I’ve captured some absolutely beautiful photos in many places around the world. I am most proud of my art when I print my work. It’s truly an unmatched feeling when you simply have a great eye for something, can freeze the moment forever, and then make it tangible.

I am where I am today professionally because I took a leap of faith. I believed in myself enough to get started and to continue to act on my ideas.
Although I can say that I am not to the level of success that I’d like to be at, it was not easy reaching the point that I am at. I am still overcoming challenges along the way, but I’ve learned that as long as I have a plan, work consistently, diligently, and deliberately then I can make anything happen through any obstacles I encounter.
I want the world to know that iBelieve Photography is here to share the beauty of God’s creations, ranging from sunsets to people, without any limitations in between. I am always willing to travel to work with others. Also, I sell my artwork as prints and canvases in different sizes. As another option for purchasing my artwork, I make Calendars each year.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was in the area for a week, we would have a great time exploring the city. We would go to brunch, lunch, dinner and or breakfast at restaurants that have vegan friendly options for myself. We would explore downtown and go to popular areas to visit local shops. We would see what events are going on in town around that time that we could attend. I like to do things like visit museums, and go to fitness events, which may include different type of workouts or yoga. We would go swimming or just go lay on the beach and soak up some sun. We would have a night out with some family and friends as well as a night in with just the two of us watching movies, eating our favorite snacks and drinking our favorite drinks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my family and friends. I receive so much support and encouragement from my people. My story wouldn’t be what it is if I didn’t have my support group showing up for me in the many ways that they do. I am so grateful for each and every one of you! You definitely know who you are!
