We had the good fortune of connecting with Marschelle Weeks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marschelle, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Price. Life insurance is not expensive.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am interested in helping families get their financial house in order. I get excited about giving them hope that they can live the life they want as well as teaching their kids how to have a healthy mindset in all things financial. A lot of what I coach clients on start with mindset. I want people to know you do not have to live check to check. You can retire with dignity. Your children can learn to become responsible with money. Everything starts with mindset. Having gone to school multiple times, I was groomed to get a good job and stay there until retirement. I had to overcome the fear of unknowns when I decided to become an entrepreneur. There are never any guarantees in life but working a job is safer than starting, nurturing and growing a business. My weaknesses, vulnerabilities exposed. My strengths illuminated. I am learning that I can make an impact in the lives of others and still be a work in progress. Having a business is “growing me up”. I am the picture of an over comer. I went against the grain. And I’m here to use my life experiences, my money mistakes to help people win with the war in their mind first and then with their money.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Fun question! So we would definitely hit up The Battery at Truist Park. The hot apple cider at C. Ellet’s to warm our hands on a walk around The Battery after eating a meal at Yardhouse. For lunch one day we’d go to The Blu Rose Art Bistro for lunch, plenty of dishes for plant based and pescatarian eaters like myself, followed by amazing coffee at Kuumba Coffee. Both places are downtown Douglasville. We would probably hang out at Eclipse di Luna for brunch on Sunday for tasty food and Latin music in Perimeter and grab dessert and wine at Alon’s Bakery & Market. I’d take them to Ponce City Market, if warm, hit the belt line and stop off at Bar Taco for cauliflower tacos then go get coffee at Voga Italian Gelato. I love good coffee. The High Museum is always enjoyable as well as window shopping downtown Marietta.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband has been so supportive. He’s assisted me in going after my entrepreneurial dream as well as bringing me clients. My coach, Mario Hubbard, who pours his knowledge into me and allows me to vent. The SheEO District Community who is this amazing group of women who encourage me to shine my light and never allow it to get dull.
