We had the good fortune of connecting with Marnesha Gilchrist and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marnesha, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Throughout my early life, I was always encouraged to set goals, and do everything possible to attain them. This helped me develop habits of being honest, trustworthy, persistent, an effective communicator, great listener and a hard worker. Always remembering whatever I do represents me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My company Langchrist Enterprises LLC redefines excellence in real estate consulting. Our dedicated team brings a unique blend of market insight, strategic thinking, and client-focused solutions. From personalized property assessments to innovative investment strategies, we navigate the real estate landscape with precision. What sets us apart is our commitment to integrity, transparent communication, and a relentless pursuit of exceeding your expectations. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, a seasoned investor, or seeking expert advice, We are your trusted partner in achieving your real estate goals.

Embarking on the journey of becoming an entrepreneur wasn’t hard for me, it’s in my blood. My passion for real estate started early on through investing for myself and once I became good at identifying prime opportunities and I was able to turn problems into a success, I knew that I could turn this into a business and help others navigate the same challenges without having to go through my experiences. I made sure I acquired the relevant skills and knowledge through education and networking. I built a strong support network and surrounded myself with mentors. I stayed adaptable, and learned from failures and remained committed to continuous improvement. This is what has made me successful today.

I pride myself on setting my company apart through a relentless commitment to client satisfaction, innovative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of market dynamics. The journey wasn’t easy, but challenges were overcome through resilience, adaptability, and learning from setbacks. The lessons learned emphasize the importance of continuous improvement, building strong relationships, and staying ahead in a dynamic industry. My brand signifies trust, expertise, and a passion for exceeding client expectations, and I want the world to know that my story is one of determination, growth, and a dedication to excellence in the Real Estate Industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Elysian Gardens located in Avondale is a great area where you can eat, drink and hang out! I would suggest going for a walk at City Park to play some pickleball, eat some delicious cupcakes from K&J’s pastries then sit down and listen to some live music at Uptown Jazz Cafe. Birmingham has two museums. The Museum of Art and the Civil Rights Museum, it would definitely be worth checking them. Also, at the museum of Art you can grab a bite to eat in their cafe. Another must see of the Botanical Gardens, with all of its gardens representing different flowers and countries, it is simply beautiful! Gardens, it’s beautiful! As far as the food scene, we don’t fall short AT ALL! From local legend Nikki’s west, where they serve excellent down home cooking. If you want a little kick to your food, I would suggest going to Broad St. Po boys located in the Pizitz food hall: side note: you can get a nice drink at the bar while you wait on your food and people watch. We also have Encore Rouge located in the UAB area, they are serving a great variety of dishes from pasta, to shrimp, chicken and fish to custom drinks at their bar. Blueprint on 3rd is excellent if your tastebuds are craving unique dishes. If you like a chill vibe I would suggest D’zire Lounge located in Avondale, where you can enjoy their outside patio. Whew, that’s a lot! We have so much more to offer and I hope you can come enjoy this city as much as I do!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all God and many days and nights of prayer when times got tough and I wanted to throw the towel in. My mother is my biggest supporter and mentor and she has more than 30 years of Real Estate experience under her belt, and lastly my father who introduced me to the world of Entrepreneurship by starting his own Investment firm and becoming one of the first black Investment Bankers in the city of Birmingham, Al. I recommend the books “Who stole my cheese” and “ Think and grow Rich ”. These books help me change my mindset and get me to where I am today.
